I haven't been to any meet ups with Jeter yet but it sounds like fun. It's hard for me to know what our plans are with my husbands Job, on weekends he has to call in 12 hours before work to see if he has to go in to load any boats for that night shift. Also I do not drive do to having Epilepsy and taking meds that make me sleepy. I have my dear sweet husband to be my personal chauffeur all the time:rolleyes:

LOL I'll try to hold off until the 18th. ;) Although, if I give birth early (on the 8th) it will be on Kylee and Chubby's birthday and if I give birth late (on the 30th) it will be on Cory's birthday. :D So, lot's of days in December that will land on someone's birthday. Two of my sister-in-laws birthdays are in December also (the 26th and 28th).

It would be neat to meet you at one of the meetups one day. My hubby chauffeurs me around too, but that's only because I ask him to and not a medical reason or anything. It's always nice to be able to relax and not have to drive, especially when most of the meetups I go to are an hour or three away from me. Plus, I'm the better navigator. ;)

Yep, I'll definitely have my hands full, but it's worth it. I love all my furbabies and without a doubt I'll love my skin baby just as much. :D And I'll find out on the 9th whether I'm just have one or two babies (there's a chance it might be twins, small chance, but a chance just the same). A fall meetup sounds nice. I'll be able to put Cory and Kayla's halloween outfits to use. ;)

How lucky to have 4 precious furbabies! I'd love to have more...I think?

We have a group here on YT that tatertot started called OIK friends. I think if you go up or back a pg. you'll find the link.

I'd love to see some pics of your furbabies.

As Lisa E. said, I think the get together is planned for the Fall. I think that will be a nice time of year to have it. Not too hot or cold.

My yorkies are Abby and Daisy.
Abby is 4 months and Daisy is 2 yrs.

I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Thank you! :) Hubby and I are very excited to finally be having our first little one. We've been trying for four years and were beginning to wonder if we were even able to have any. Low and behold when we'd just about given up, we finally get pregnant! :D

I'll try and get some pictures of the furbutts on here soon. I have to resize some pics as all of mine are too big to upload.

We could meet when you come to pick up your baby boy. Are you bringing a friend? Lynn said that there were 2 gals coming from quite a distance to get 2 of the boys. Just think, if I had decided to go ahead and put a dep. down that day, I may have picked Bandit!

I still can't believe what a coincidence that is!! :)

I live in Nw Indiana and I recently got a pup from Lynn on May 16th. He is so cute. I am trying to find a breeder from around SugarCreek Ohio. WE had a male from this breeder that had been hit by a car on May5th. I have been so sad. Buddy would jump off the floor into my arms every time I cam home or into the house. He got out and chased a chip monk from under our porch intot the street and right into a cars tires . This puppy I got from Lynn was for my daughters birthday on May14th. We are trying to use the crate and doggie litter for training with some success at this time.

Little DAvey is from Morgan/Turbo. He was whelped March 17th 2008. He is a little joy . Lynn was mortified to find out he had conjuntivitis, and she had sent Albon for coccidia. We had received him on May 16th My friends brother lives down in Evansville and he was driving up here that day and offered to pick up the puppy for us and bring him up here to LaPorte. We got him Friday night and we treated him right away before he showed any signs of diarrhea. Lynn had thought the eye issue was from getting the nasal (Bordatella, I think that is what she called it) vaccine. Fortunately I got it looked at the next day and he hasn't had any further symptoms.
I thought Lynn was great and it was wonderful getting the new puppy. If only my daughter (this is her first puppy), can get with a program. We are trying a combination pee pad and doggie litter for training him. WE are having a little success.

Dana,
I'm so sorry to hear about Buddy :( I had something similar happen on Jan. 2 to my little male yorkie, Peanut. It's a horrible thing to see. I miss having a little boy, but now I have my hands full with 2 girls, so I doubt I'll be getting a boy anytime soon, but ya never know :D (my husband would so croak if he even knew I was thinking about it!)

OMGosh, there's so many of us here who have puppies from Lynn! I think that's great!
When we all get together, we'll have to take pictures of the furbabies and send one to Lynn. Wouldn't she love that!

BTW Abby is from, Baby Beau & Tootsie

Lisa and Pic 06-02-2008 05:39 AM

Tammy - I loved your pictures. I bet you had fun with Lisa K. at the wedding. :) Also, Abby looks beautiful. Did you groom her yourself?

Tamra - Wow...You might have twins! :D:D

LittleLady - Hi! Welcome to this thread.

I'm sorry about your furbaby, Buddy. :crying: When I first got married, I also had kind of a similiar thing happen. We had cats, back then, and one was hit by a car. I am feeling your pain.

Glad to hear you are having luck with your new furbaby in potty training. I'm interested in hearing more about the doggie litter.

adorame 06-02-2008 07:14 AM

So did you ladies all enjoy the nice weekend we had? I had Jeter outside in our back yard and I found that he likes to sniff at flowers, it was so cute! I am going to have to remember to take my camera out to get a few pictures of him doing this.

I am going nuts trying to find me my little girl, I am 1/2 tempted to call Jeter's breeder to see if she would use her other male Stud on one of her girls that is not Jeter's mommy so i can be more at ease with breeders! I am so worried that I would end up with a sick puppy if I do not get to go see the place myself. I knew Jeter's breeder and I had seen her place and all her dogs before she even was going to breed Jeter's parents. My mom got a girl from her about 1 1/2 years before I got Jeter and that is how I was hooked up with her. Anyway's one breeder i was going to see about getting a puppy asked that we meat her half way from our hometowns, she wouldn't hear of us driving all that way:eek: I wanted to check out the place so I declined and took it as a red flag she didn't want us seeing her place or dogs! Am I being too picky??

on a happy note we have the pool and are putting it up most likely after the kids get home from school today! They are excited! We had to go with an Intex pool because of the City codes for having a pool in our yard :thumbdown but we got a nice big one that is 24'x 12'x48"

MyPeanutAbbyGra 06-02-2008 08:50 AM

Hi Lisa,
No I took Abby to a place called Groomingdales! I think the name is so cute!
In hindsight, I should have let her take more off, but I was scared that she would end up looking like a chihuahua! As it is, she still has all her long thick hair. Her chest really needs trimmed more. She gets so hot, so quickly. We'll probably be going back for another session sooner than expected. Her little face is cute though. I just love her button nose and you can see it better with the facial hair trimmed.

Hi adorame,
We had a lovely weekend. Congratulations on the pool. Your kiddos will have so much fun in it!
I hope you find your little girl soon.

Tammy

My momma does not like to go into it but I still have luck with her going on pee pads. So I am starting from the git go with the puppies the doggie litter. I wanted to try this because my kids and my silly husband step on the pee pads and walk all over the house. Mind you they are clean pads but still I want the dog to smell what ever is on them (on the pad) not through out the house. I know alot of folks that want dogs but live in apartments. Like anything it is taking some work. At first our 9 week old wanted to bed down in the litter until I sprayed a scent into it. You are supposed to keep putting what ever you wiped up the mistakes with in the box of litter.

Lisa and Pic 06-02-2008 04:38 PM

Tammy - I love the name Groomingdales. How cute!

Littlelady - Thanks for telling me about the litter. It sounds like it is going to work for the puppies.

Hope everyone is enjoying the heat wave. Piccolo and I could not stand it anymore, so I turned on the air. She was so hot, she was panting all the time. Now she is back to being a princess. ;)

winstonw 06-03-2008 03:23 PM

Hi everybody

Lisa and pic hope you are ok...know you have some tornados in your area this afternoon. The air is just so hot and muggy...it just feels like storms. Luckily this time we missed them...It was north of us.

Had a fun weekend with the family wedding! It was great to meet Tammy and her husband Tony! Thanks for posting the picture Tammy:)!

Littlelady welcome! Another Lynn Puppy!! That is great! I wanted to tell you I have two shih tzus who use dog litter in the garage. what I did was get two rabbit cage bottoms (plastic) and put the litter in there. We also put 4 pads over it so basically the litter is only getting runoff (sorry kinda gross). The shih tzus are both 16 pounds so they have a lot of waste compared to the yorkies. We change the pads daily and scoop any contaminated litter out. We don't have to change the litter for about 3 months. I was getting frustrated because the pads didn't hold enough for both of them on days we didnt get out....rain etc. so I wanted a backup to absorb odor etc. They took to it immediately ..had no problem. I think the pads on it helped, and as you said I at first put some waste on it. It has worked wonderfully. We have a doggy door to the garage. Good luck with the training.

Lisa and Pic 06-04-2008 07:26 AM

Lisa K. - No problems with the weather yesterday, just lots of rain. Thanks for asking. The grass is going to start going wild! The way you do puppy litter is very interesting and smart. :)

We had a bunch of thunderstorms this morning. How about everyone else? Ashley, did you make it okay? It looked like the more severe storms were to the north of Cincinnati. Did my Indiana friends make it okay also?

Piccolo and I started for a walk this morning, but we did not get further than the front yard and it started raining. So we came back in, and Piccolo got a bath. I also trimmed her a little. I'm not very good at this, but I did order the DVD from the grooming person on YT, and it should be coming soon. I'll let you know if it is helpful. Did anyone else order this DVD?

Have a great Wednesday, YT friends!

winstonw 06-04-2008 10:01 AM

Lisa glad you guys didn't get anything too severe yesterday. Yes I will be interested to see about your grooming dvd. I have heard good things about it!
Also, I wanted to tell you from earlier, I loved you and your husband's picture!! You guys look great together!

tatertot15 06-04-2008 11:28 AM

hey everyone!! We had some pretty bad storms all day yesterday through today. There was a tornado watch this morning while I was on my way to work....only to find out it was where my work was....so it was pretty scary driving to work looking around for a tornado....but I made it safely. and with no signs of a tornado....hopefully these storms are over!! I hope everyone we havent heard from yet is ok!!

winstonw 06-04-2008 01:42 PM

glad you are ok Ashley...that was too close for comfort wasn't it? Hope everybody else is same as you.

Speaking of storms, do any of your yorkies get scared in a thunderstorm? winston does not even notice if is storming! Pokey my shih tzu looks like this though:eek: and gets very nervous....he is usually the most dominant one.

Lisa and Pic 06-04-2008 03:26 PM

Lisa K. - Thanks for the compliment about the picture. :)

Ashley - Glad you made it okay to work today with the storms.

We just had another bunch of thunderstorms roll through this evening. I'm getting tired of going to the basement everytime the sirens go off. But, Piccolo comes right behind me and we try to keep ourselves amused by practicing tricks. She does not get scared of storms and can sleep right through them. My other Yorkie shook everytime she heard thunder or fireworks... Probably because she was outside, one time, doing her business and lightening hit the wires going into our house above her and myself. It made us both jump a couple of feet. LOL.

adorame 06-04-2008 03:50 PM

We did not get hit by any bad storms, just the rain.

Jeter is very frightened by thunder storms and he has to be right up on me when we get a storm. I did have to take him outside to potty when it was sprinkling and he even seems afraid of rain drops when they hit him:rolleyes:
Yesterday when I was taking him for a walk, he stopped walking and hunkered down when a louder car went by, and he did the same with a motorcycle too! He has never don that before:confused: Maybe that ties in with him being afraid of thunder...it's too darn loud for his taste!

I was wondering how all the New puppy owners are doing with their little ones?

The pool is filled up finally, it took a bit more than 24 hours to do it but it should be up and running tomorrow ( I haven't hooked up the filter or added the shock treatment to the water yet) I just wish that the water would be warm for the boy's to jump in and enjoy it tomorrow as it is their last day of school.

tatertot15 06-05-2008 05:55 AM

Update About Zach

Ok so last night we found out that Zach has a ruptured bleb in his lung and that is what caused his lung to collapse....he is doing ok right now with the chest tube in and pain meds (MIL says he is mean on his meds lol) The doctors said they will have to do a major lung surgery.....they will open his chest cavity up and everything....and this scares the crap out of me. He is around 5'5" and only weighs 80 lbs....and he is almost 17. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!!

Lisa and Pic 06-05-2008 07:38 AM

Ashley- I will keep Zach in my thoughts and prayers. I've heard that a lung collapse is very painful. :(

Brandy - My daughter's dog is very afraid of cars, etc. When I babysit him, he can be hard to walk because of this. I just keep him moving forward on the walks. Hopefully, Jeter will outgrow this. Also, have fun in your pool. Today is the perfect day to go swimming, here. How about your weather?

chimicole 06-07-2008 09:39 PM

Hullo everyone~
Sorry I've been away for so very long...my Dad passed away May 20th. I stayed in hospice with him for about a week beforehand. I feel ok about it though. He was a good man, and wil be sorely missed, but we did have time to reminisce and to say goodbye.
He was at Stein Hospice in Firelands Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio.
Cordell laid on his bed with him for the last two days, not even getting up when I would get up from my chair. He knew, and wanted Dad to have that comfort.
While we were there, my husband got a voice mail message from his employer here in Indiana, stating that while he understood about family and such things, his business was lacking, so he needed to lay him off. (Wasn't that nice of him?)
Anyhoo~ I have been working boatloads of overtime trying to get caught up on bills and such, and I think I have finally made a dent! Thank You, God!
We have the pool up, haven't added shock to it yet, or had the pump running (like adorame), but these silly children of mine have climbed in! LOL! I don't mind, but these old bones of mine are to apt to get cold! LOL!
DD#2 is ready to pop any day with grandchild (due June 25th they say) and DD#3 will be ready August 4th in Colorado. We want to go, but just don't see how it will be possible. Gas is rediculous around here! (Well, everywhere, I imagine.)
And before I write a book, I will go.
Hope someone comes back before too long!
Lisa~ thanks for all the cute little graphics on my page!

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Father. Please accept my sincere condolences. It's wonderful that you were able to spend time w/ him and say your good-byes. It's so sweet that Cordell was so faithful and had such good intuition.

What a horrible thing your husband's employer did! Grrrr! Want me to go knock some sense into them? ;) I hope things work out for the best. You know the old saying, When God closes a window, he opens a door. I hope that holds true here.

Congrats on the babies :) I hope everyone will be very healthy!

Chimicole - I am so sorry about your Dad. Bless little Cordell for giving him comfort.

winstonw 06-09-2008 04:39 PM

Chimicole--I am so sorry to hear about your father. Little Cordell sure is a sweetie and I'm sure that was nice for your dad.
Hope your pool is now up and running!

Adorame--How is the new pool person doing?? any questions;)!! I didn't have time to reply to your other thread....but you were by no means being too harsh. Isn't that just the way it goes.....you have been waiting for the fun first day opening of your pool with your own family, and then something like that has to happen...it never fails. You did fine with it, and I hope all of your are enjoying it....sure is the hot weather to be doing it in!! Our pool temp has been 92:eek: bath water!!! It usually doesnt do this till mid July or August!!

Tatertot-hope your brother in law is doing ok right now.
