Getting back to normal
 
Hi from wind-blown Madison, IN. We're just getting back up and running here after a horrible week. My daughter in Cincinnati still does not have power, so she's headed here for the weekend.

I'm not sure at this point if I'll be able to make the meet up :(

I hope everyone is safe and sound.

So sorry about little Davey.

We just got our electricity back too. Spent yesterday catching up on laundry.....down to our last towels!
Had a great time at Bark in the Park and look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!

Just wanted to thank Billy for doing an AWESOME job cooking everything today and making everyone feel welcome as soon as they arrived! I had a GREAT time and look forward to doing it again!!!!!!:D

Yes thank you Billy for the great burgers, directions, and being meetup organizer assistant!! You did a great job ! Ashley, you too did an awesome job planning our meetup!! It was so fun to get to meet everyone, and so glad you were able to come for some of it!! Bandit was a doll baby too!!

Yes, thank you Ashley and Billy! The food was great and thank you for the goodies and organizing the meet-up!
We had great weather and it was so nice meeting everyone and seeing all the beautiful babies!
We will have to do it again soon!
I will post about the reindog parade in Mt. Adams too!!

I was very curious as to what the "Reindog Parade" was so I googled it. I did find out a little bit of info on it...... here it is.... Some people might want to put it on the calendar early!! ;) ... this is all that it said.......

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes for Piccolo. I'm just reading this. I did take her to the emergency vet last night. They ran blood tests to make sure she did not have Pancreatitis. The blood tests were normal. Yea! So, they gave her fluids and an anti-nausea drug. She cannot eat until 4 o'clock today. She has been mostly sleeping, but did get up and come to the door when I came home from errands. Hopefully, she will eat a little something today. You guys are the greatest...Thanks again!

I'm glad to hear an update on Piccolo, I hope she starts feeling better soon and hopefully she'll eat good. give her my hugs and Bandit send kisses!!

Also, CONGRATS on hitting 500!! I did what you did and posted here for it, i'm glad you could share it with us!!

Thanks Ashley for the Congrats. Actually, I was copying you.... I thought it was sweet, when you posted your 500th here, so I thought I would do it, too. :)

Piccolo ate a little bit for dinner tonight and took a few licks of water, so I believe she is on the road to recovery. I appreciate everyone's concerns.

If he does not get his Lactulose and Neomycin then he walks as if he is holding one side of his body in the air. It is very sad, but he does seem better within and hour or so most of the time. I had to take him out of the pen with my other dogs because they started picking on him. His immune system is inhibited at present also.
I can give him carrots as a snack which he loves, and his diet is SCience diet k/d.
His BAT came back as over 100 for the fasting and 595 for the post . We are jsut waiting to see what his blood sugars are doing before we decide if he can have the surgery or not.

Thank you for everyone being here, it helps sharing with others.

WE have been praying for all of you that have had property damage and injuries, from this crazy weather. We have been lucky we only got 11 inches of rain. I live somewhat on a hill so we were particularly lucky.

Thank you I appreciate the support. He's developing a cough now. It came on this afternoon, so I am going to see if he can have an antibiotic ontop of the neomycin. Otherwise he might end up with pnuemonia.
He used to be the alpha with all my other dogs now he cowars away and runs under my legs or a table. If things get to rough he runs to his crate.
I can't keep him in the xpen with the others.

It has been nice we either gave him an extra dose of lactulose if he seemed off but he is having a better week then last week.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby! This has to be so incredibly hard.

Hopefully he can have an antibiotic also. I hope it goes away soon. I'm glad to hear this week has been a better week hopefully they just keep getting better. It's so hard when they are sick. Just keep doing what you are doing and we'll all pray he gets better!!
