Jeter get's play dates with my mom's 2 Yorkie girls. This last visit was not his best:( I guess he was just a tad to HYPER for them, they wanted NOTHING to do with him at all. Sindee even went and hid in her crate to get away from him:rolleyes: When it was treat time, Nellee stole his treat, and he forgave her and tried to play tag with him and she went the opposite direction. When they went out back they still kept their distance from Jeter, Sindee nipped him a few times too. The only time they had anything to do with Jeter was when a squirrel came in the yard and the girls showed him how to go after them and chase them up a tree! Today is looking to be a hotter day and I am hoping to get out in the pool. Jeter went in twice so far and he didn't like it. I want to get him a baby pool and just have a tiny bit of water in it so he can cool off. I haven't gotten any news from the breeder yet on how Yumi Yasha is. I keep checking my e mail for her updated picture. I will post them when I get them! Hope every one has a wonderful day!! |

Hello everyone! It looks like we are going to hit the big 500 soon. Who would have believed it in March? It has been wonderful getting to know everyone on this thread. :) Lisa K. - Thanks for the compliment about the deck...However (Lol), I cannot accept it, 'cause it was my friend's house. ;) But, I will tell her about the compliment. I believe they painted the deck. They do have a nice yard. Emily Ann - Welcome to this thread, if I have not said this before. I live in Northern Kentucky so I can kind of help you with getting around the area. Florence does have a mall, but I do not know if there is a dog boutique in Florence. There is a dog store in Covington, but I have not been there. Is Sparta near Warsaw? Anyway, there are plenty of nicer chain restaurants in Florence. There is also an upscale mall in Crestview Hills. Let me know if you have any more questions. Brandi - I had to laugh about your playdate. Sometimes that happens when dogs have different energy levels. I think the growls are the dog's way of disciplining the other dog. Hope the next one goes better. Also, have fun in the pool. So....Piccolo got her bath last night because she is going to the Doggie Dermotologist tonight. I don't know if I ever talked about her problem on this thread. She has been under doctor's care since November because she had a delayed vaccine reaction. It caused her to have vasculitis and it was really scary back in the fall. I always read the vaccine threads carefully because of this. She is doing very well now. This is so long...sorry. Hope everyone has a great day. |

We decided to go a head and keep our eyes out for a little guy to add to the family too. So I am looking for a boy now too!! We are in no rush though because Yumi Yasha is still coming home soon but if I do find a boy before then, I am allowed to get him! I love my Husband so much!!! |
Adorame: Where are you at in Ohio?? I forget. lol Asking because I know the breeder that a few of us have used in Indiana, she has 2 boys available right now....of course they arent old enough to take home yet. Just a thought. |
Boy this has been a busy thread today!!! Sounds like everybody is doing pretty good!! Hope Piccolo has a good appt with the doggy dermatologist tomorrow!! Zoey101 and Zoey and Winston and I swam today. Zoey is definitely more aggressive with the water than winston. She actually jumped off the raft and swam to the side when Winston came outside. I really would like to buy one of those escape ramps from another thread on here. We have been trying to rig one in the meantime with a boogie board, but we need more work on it:confused::(!! I hope Jeter and all start to like the H2O more....Winston def has a long way to go!!!! |

We are driving to Southern Ohio to get Yumi Yasha, I got car sick with all those hilly roads LOL I forgot how hilly it it. We went West Virginia when I was 13 and oh my I was car sick, it was like being on a roller coster at Cedar Point:rolleyes: |
adorame, it is down here close to Evansville where Bandit came from. It is probably about a 4 hour drive from Cincy....I'm not sure how far you Sandusky is from Cincy? The town is Oakland City where Abby(mypeanutabbygra) and Bandit came from. There are two others on this thread I believe....Jessica and is it lindalbj?....I'm not sure, but just thought I'd jump in here to give you a locale:)!! |
oakland city is in the southwestern corner of indiana like cincy is in ohio!! |
From Sandusky it would probably end up being somewhere between 7-8 hours away for you. I've been to Sandusky for a pool tournament they have every year "Sleepless in Sandusky" They werent kidding when they said sleepless lol. It was a blast though. Anyways I'm not sure how far you wanted to travel but I thought it may be an idea....We may even be able to get a Yorkie train....but I cant say without the help of others. Thats if you even wanted one of the two boys she has. |
you can bet I would help on the first leg of the yorkietrain!! From Oakland City to cincy if you would want...i bet mypeanutabbygra/tammy would come with!! You guys so need a boy sometime;)!! |
Hello everyone! Piccolo and I could hopefully help with transportation. :) Emilyann- Oh! Sparta is where they have the race track. Warsaw is about five miles away. It is a cute little town on the river. Right across the river in Indiana is Belterra, which is a casino and hotel. We have been there a couple of times. I do not think you can take your dog into Florence Mall. Maybe you could, if you had one of those special sacks. So, not really sure. Piccolo had her dog dermatologist appointment yesterday and things are going well. Poor thing, now she is getting groomed today. I bought the grooming video, but I still haven't worked up enough nerve to pull the hair out of her ears or trim or toenails, so the groomer is going to do all that yucky stuff today. Hope everyone has a great day! |
Poor little Piccolo! I am surprised that I missed that she had a skin condition from a delayed reaction to her shots. I use to read the "sick" threads and worry about the poor little ones, and I also worry of things happening to Jeter, I had to stop because I would cry about some of them :( Do you have to use special shampoo for her skin? Thanks all about volunteering for a YT train, You all are so sweet!! I will keep it in mind:) I was really hoping to get a full brother to Jeter, so we might hold off on the boy. I have not put to much thought if I am going to though,I still have yet to call Jeter's breeder to see when she would have that happen. I just think my Jeter is so darn cute, when my husband suggested it, I got all excited. I might not be able to wait, when I want something, I have to have it right then and their;) I have been looking at other puppies, so all options are open ;) |
Well just let us know!! It sounds like we could get a boy to you safe and sound without having to go too too far!! |
We're here in Sparta safe and sound. Which I'm really surprised with as traffic was AWFUL in a few places mostly whenever I got on the interstate to Cincinatti from Louisville. It was horrid and I was so scared (I hardly ever drive on the interstate and this was my first time driving alone so far away). People are just so gross and don't pay attention or CARE what they're doing. Lilly was so tired of riding but so excited to see her daddy when he came out to carry all my luggage in (which might I add, looked like I was packing for a family of 50). We're now sitting here watching TV and she's resting while my dear boyfriend is at work. I'll probably go to the mall with my boyfriend first so I know where it's at that way I don't get lost on my own. Thanks for your help Lisa! If I head to the mall and want to take her with me I'll call them first and see but I'll probably just leave her here in her crate and try to hide her (I don't trust people). It's great to hear Piccolo's dermatologist visit went great, I don't have the patience to groom Lilly I just give her baths and clean here ears and of course her eye boogies daily and I leave the rest up to the professionals! Hope everyone's having a great day:cool: |

So how was the mall?? Did they let Lilly in? I have taken Jeter in our mall but he was in his puppy carrier. It looks more like a purse so I can get a way with it. He has been to Kroger's too and I was so scared that they would kick me out but my husband said it was 4 am and they don't pay that much attention at night;) I only did that once though, we had no Idea that we were going to need to stop their, we just went to get gas and I brought Jeter with me cause he was a wake at the time. I will not be needing the YT train after all. I got a call today from a friend from Church telling me her friend that breeds Yorkie had 5 babies on May 29th. She told her I was looking for a puppy and she told her to give me a call and see if we would like to come see her pups, so I got to go see them today. She lives in my area too ao it was a very short trip to her house. We ended up falling for the second smallest male of the litter of 3 boy's 2 girls. They were all so cute. We met the parents and all that. Her children started handling them so they will be use to kids too. We put a deposit on him:p I think I will be bringing him home close to the same time Yumi Yasha will come home too. He is about 2 weeks older than Yumi Yasha. What fun I will be having with all my Yorkies soon!! I forgot to take pictures while I visited... too buzzy holding all those pups! But I will post one as soon as I get one:D |
:happyboun:happyboun:happybounI am sooooo excited for you!! Two new babies at once.....Yeah Yeah!! Yes please post the pics of the little boy when you get a chance next time!!! OO cant wait to hear what his name will be!! YOu are always so darn good with them!!;):D |
I almost forgot....is that sister of yours still hanging on with the twins:eek:!! Hope she is doing ok! |
Yes she is still preggers with her little boy's. Her Doctor was shocked that she has held off this long. She is now 35 weeks along with them and they did check her on Tuesday and she was about 5 1/2 to 6 dilated:eek: She set her sights on July 4th if they can hold out till then that way she ends her confindment to the bed for 12 weeks with a BANG! She so wants to go shopping for them though and it's killing her not to be able to get things for them herself... she is picky;) Ok So I want to keep Yankee names for my boy Yorkies but I had told the boy's and my husband that as long as a Yankee name is in his registered name then I would be willing to compromise on his name: Petrick's Sir Axl Diablo DiMaggio I get to have the English nobility title... and my Yankee name.... (DiMaggio was a great Yankee player;) and my son get his fav car ever in the name ( he is 14 and thinks that he will get one as his first car) And Axl is after Axl Rose because we LOVE Guns n Roses! We are calling him Axl thogh not DiMaggio, cuz I think it sounds good when I practiced calling their names;) ( I tried out all my boy's names like that when I was thinking of their names...Mason Richardson you get your but down hear...Kennedy James what did you ?? Lincoln Shaun clean up this mess!! Garrett Brian Aaron I said it's BED TIME Now!!! and I practiced my boy's names with a mad mommy voice too) See I have to have things just right sounding:rolleyes: |
You are so funny:D!!! Well that practicing the names obviously paid off, cause I love all your boy's names.....they definitely have a "rythm" and "flow"!! I never went that far to practice, but did try calling just the first name on Winston. I can't believe this though now, cause he's like part of me.....but when I would first go to call him the first few days, I would forget his name:eek::rolleyes:, how "duh" is that........I would go .......ok.....cigarette.....Salem.........Winston. ..oh yeah Winston!!!!!!!!!!! |

Anyway's this guy came up and asked for Winston's and I go " Sir,the beer is back their, you can get it yourself" and he started to laugh and goes "honey I bet you are too young to sell me any beer, and Winston's are cigarettes not a beer!" I had every dang blasted person in line laughing at me! Well I am not a beer person or a smoker so how the heck was I to know what he wanted LOL. |
That is a funny story!! I'm almost 5 1 so I can sure relate to the short thing!! |
2 Attachment(s) Introducing the newest member of the Hatfield clan: Isaiah Daniel He came barely in time (born at 11:30pm) to have his very own birthday, otherwise, he'd have had to share his special day with an Aunt and an Uncle (not fair to a young man! -Besides, Grandma promised him that their birthday money would be spent on him anyway! LOL!) Anyway~ he weighed in at 7 pounds even, and he's 19 inches tall! YaHOO!!! I'm a Grandma again! (Can't get enough Grandma time... ya know?) |

My youngest two were born 4/24/96 and 4/26/97...Both had a due date of July 4th so they were both very early. When I was pregnant with baby#4 I was put in the hospital for 2 months and 2 weeks when it was my baby #3 first birthday I told baby #4 to hold off so his brother could have his special day, the next day they had to take me down to Labor and delivery but it was a long labor and he came on the 26th. I was so glad they had their own day! |
Hello everyone...Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Piccolo was groomed by a new groomer today. The groomer did a fabulous job and she was very reasonable. A friend of mine told me about this groomer. This groomer shows poodles and I was impressed with her knowledge of dogs. :) Chimicole - Congrats, Grandma! Isiah Daniel is very beautiful! :D Adorame - Love your campground story and your name choices. Emilyann- Glad to hear you made it to Sparta safely. I bet you were driving in some rush hour traffic in Louisville. So how is Sparta? Did you find out anything concerning the Florence Mall? I have heard, by the way, that there is a photography place in the mall that will do dog pictures, after hours. So, they must let dogs in for that, at least. |
