| You definitely need to speak to a lawyer RIGHT away! The longer you wait, the more time you are giving her to come up with the money. You need a lawyer to write to her and tell her that she has violated the agreement that you had with her by asking for her back and not returning the deposit immediately and that it makes the contract null and void and that you are keeping the dog. PS. I would also get her fixed asap as long as it doesn't say in the contract that you can't. Even if you end up having to give her back, it is a small price to pay for your peace of mind that she will try to breed her

| I'm in SC, you have to live in Oconee County, then go to the animal shelter, (make sure your vet takes the vouchers) and then give them $45 and they give you the voucher to take to the vet, that also includes the anesthesia..to me it's fantastic, helps on all the unwanted pups.. |

| So sorry to hear about your troubles with this person, doesn't sound like an upright breeder to me, who sells a baby and then says I have to have her back??? It doesn't work that way, you make a deal you stick to it, you are only as good as your word is! Are you getting any resolution in the matter?

| Rachel... You should be smarter than posting MySpace bulletins when you are drunk. You said you spend all your time on Yorkie Talk, so I came here to check it out, and I am beyond horrified at everything you've wrote. I've talked to you for a year now, and I trusted you, and thought of you as a friend. You have me on your top MySpace friends for God's sake. You are soooo not being honest. You're making me out to be this horrible person that I'm not, and making yourself look like an innocent angel. You've failed to mention that I put Lola on PuppyFind for $2000, but as soon as you told me you wanted her, I gave her to you for $1000. You gave me $500, and I gave you until January 1st to pay me the rest!! Who would do that for you?? I had three other serious inquiries on PuppyFind, but I knew you really wanted her and would take care of her. You neglect to also mention that you offered me $3000 last year for her, but I changed my mind about selling her then. I was only letting her go because of my work schedule and her lack of potty training. I get frustrated with her accidents, and have made hasty decisions about posting her for sale. You also haven't shared why we decided we want her back. My six year old son was at my parent's home on fall break when I decided to let Lola go with Rachel. Since Lola is primarily my dog, and my son has a Golden Retriever, I didn't think he would be too upset. I was wrong. He's asked me every night when Lola's coming home (I told him she may or may not be coming back, that she's on vacation with other Yorkies), and when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he said that he wants Lola to come back! And now that I'm not working, I will have plenty of time with her. That's another HUGE thing you've left out.....why I'm not working! I could pay you right now, but I'd rather not. I'm sorry, but with three trips to the ER at $150 a piece, five doctor visits with my co-pay being $30, and numerous prescriptions in the past month, finances are a bit tight. I've told you the minute I receive my monthly check, the money is yours. You complain about having to care for her, at your expense, until I get her back. I am the one who drove an hour and a half each way, from Indianapolis to Cincinnati, to take her to you, I think that just about covers the cost of feeding her for a few weeks. I sent you a very nice email, saying that we all miss Lola, and asking how you felt about her coming back to us, I was very considerate of your feelings. You called me the next day, talking about her health problems, and said you didn't mind at all her coming back to us! Then the next day, you call me again, talking about having me write you a statement saying that I void the contract. The first time you called, you were trying to get me to take money off the dog, the second time you called, you were trying to trick me into writing something to could leverage you to be able to keep the dog. I'm a little more intelligent than you honey. The contract says if at any point Rachel determines that Lola is not adjusting, she will return Lola. All money paid to Maria will be repaid to Rachel within three weeks from the date of termination. That's the only thing it says about three weeks. It also states, if at any point before January 1st, 2008 Maria wants to terminate this contract she will pay Rachel her full deposit at time of termination. Termination babe, is when we exchange Lola and the money. As for the microchipping suggestion, I've printed every page of this thread, so that option is out. If you looked closely at my MySpace page, maybe you noticed that one of my very best friends is an attorney. One of the benefits of that is, of course, free legal help. But truly, I promise you money is of no issue. I would bet my child support alone is more than you earn. You made some inane remark about me slinging my dog around in her carrier. I told you, I put her in there twice, she got sick, so I never put her in again. You're the one with the lovely fake Vuitton carrier, carting your poor dog around everywhere. A dog is not a status symbol to me. At work, we make fun of girls who cart their doggies around. Soooo cheesy, and such wannabes. A dog doesn't buy you class Rachel. It's just about as classy as your fake bags. You're so 'hood rich' it hurts. The only reason you want Lola is because of how small and pretty she is. My mom bought Lola for me, for Christmas, and I could care less about her size or her breed really. I bet you haven't told the people on here the reason you are not keeping your male puppy. When I asked you if you were keeping him, you said I don't know, I don't know how big he's going to get. Nice. Go ahead and spay Lola. I know nothing about breeding, I don't want another dog, and I don't need the money. Hey Genius, when I told you the vet said she was clear to breed, did you ever think maybe I was trying to see what your reaction was?? And no, we will not be selling her. I love my dog, my family loves my dog, and now that I'll be home to work with her, she's definitely not going anywhere. And now that I've seen what type of person you are, I realize I made a huge mistake. I always stand up for what is right, and I'm not going to allow you to lie about me. You will return my dog, and I will return your money. End of story. I think you know by now to not cross me anymore than you have. Maria |

| Its just around $90 here at any vet for spay so no biggy. And yes the lady (owner not a breeder) will sell her at the $1000 but she did not mention she has LP's & needs a dental & baby teeth pulled. The baby teeth can be pulled during spay but a complete dental will be seperate & expensive, then the knees I can start her on suppliments but later surgeries, pain, she isnt going to do it. The conditions are genetic but could have been less severe w/a little care. But in her email to me saying I am listing lo again the vet said she is fine for breeding & she is more than willing. I asked her what vet would tell her that & not point out these conditions, the story of coarse changed to it was a friend that is a vet, not a actual visit,no check up was done. I have a copy of the email saying she was healthy to breed, which she is not (i wasnt letting this girl be bred, thats why i'm in this mess) I think she is going to take less, maybe... But then I am setting myself up to watch this little girl be in pain (lux Pats surgeries etc) & all the $$$ & this lady is ripping me off, lying & playing on my emotions. It is tough & again a innocent dog is in the middle, so do i just pay & then pay for all her mistakes or say its your problem you deal. Tilula & Lola have got in a couple fights, dont know if its because I have 3 (a pack) or lola is just a alpha, she does try to hunch all of us. But as it stands right now I just have a email from the previous owner saying she wants her back & a contract saying my deposit is do at the time of her termination. I love this little dog but have seen lots of horror stories & what if she needs surgery on her knees but she is to tiny & its amputate, put her down or..... Its not fair, I will put out all the money to fix her problems & she will go buy another designer bag. I feel I should just tell her she can keep the $500 & I keep Lola & take care of all her med conditions or she comes up w/my deposit quick. I just hate the idea of her getting away with this. I feel like a horrible person for even considering letting her go back, What have I got myself into She starting crying last time I spoke with her saying she may have cancer, is she just making it up trying to get her way? |

| This woman sounds like a pathological liar. I really don't think you can believe anything she says. So, you probably are going to have to go with your gut.....and make a decision based on what you feel you can live with. I wouldn't worry about the woman at all, she's not going to change. I say tell her that the money you gave her is all she is going to get, and unless she coughs up the money right now....it is a done deal.....the dog is yours....and end all communication with her.

| My Toy Poodle had LP surgery when she was about a year old. The vet chose the most affected side...her right. The total cost was $750.00. He advised me to give her supplements and keep her light in weight, which I've done. She's now 8, almost 9, and she's fine. Dances her those little legs every morning at breakfast. We didn't find the surgery horrible, just confining. Pain meds managed a lot. I wish you the best!

I was thinking about all the health problems this yorkie would have but you can be thankful she at least told you about one that would be very easy for your vet to detect. You have to do what you think best but don't take on the guilt that she should be carrying. Also per the quote she made. You either have cancer or you don't (don't let her pull at your heart strings) Ok to breed

| Hi there Rachel!! Hate to be reading what is going on with you..... I was hoping that things would work out "happily". I would try to get things "done" with her as soon as possible..... the quicker you wash your hands of her the better....... she sounds like a soap star... always DRAMA!! You don't need to be hearing her bull*&%$ until January..... tell her what you want and go from there. Hope that all works out well for you! (and T, Lola, & Rally) YT'ers- Take note here!!!.......... CHeck out those breeders!! Make sure they have good quality animals!!...... There are so many bad breeders and puppy mills..... we can't save them all, but we can REFUSE to deal with them and try to educate others to do the same!!!....... If you want to help... donate $$ to rescues, foster a dog, spread the word about bad breeders... there is the better business bureau, AKC, dog groups...... let them know!!...... When you come accross a bad breeder, express your concerns!! Maybe you CAN make a difference!.......Of course, don't forget about YT... let us know too!! People search the internet all the time for info!! Rachel, does this breeder have a website??? I would really like to make sure that I (or any one that I know) don't deal with this person!!! Take Care!! Kristi

| I'm really sorry all this is happening. I don't have any real suggestions, I'm sure your heart is breaking for this puppy. I think I would demand your deposit back as per your contract and see what happens (if she can come up w/the money). If not, I would keep her and pay her the rest of what you owe her for the puppy.
