I never said Lola had an exam by a vet. I offered that on PuppyFind. Rachel never once asked for it, or asked anything about her health. Lola has only been the vet once, when she was a puppy. I called when she was around a year old and they said they didn't need to see her until around three years old, unless something was wrong. She's not yet three years old, and I had no idea of any health issues.

The only reason I brought up anything about my income is to shut up the people that keep saying it's because I don't have the money or I'm doing it for the money. I never said "You saying you have "so much money" and more money than "most us normal people will ever be able to make" Never said that once! I said, my child support alone, at $600 a week, is more than the average person earns.

I didn't get a higher offer, she is not for sale, and I have no plans to ever sell Lola once I get her back. Again, READ THE PREVIOUS POSTS!! It's not just my son who misses her, it's myself and my boyfriend...all of us. We love her, we've always loved her, why can't you just accept that?

As for the statement that I'm digging myself deeper into a hole, what kind of hole could I possibly be in lol??

And yes, taking your dog places with you is ok, I take my dogs for as many car rides as I can, to soccer games, and the bark park, but taking a dog into a mall or carting them around in carriers, dressing them up in stupid outfits, and showing them off is just stupid. You look like idiotic attention seeking Paris Hilton wannabes. That to me is the epitome of someone treating a dog like a possession. Like I said before, a dog is not a status symbol. If Rachel truly wanted a companion, why wasn't she happy with the puppy she bought??

Don't you dare come onto this forum and start telling us we're stupid for dressing our dogs up! First of all, Paris Hilton didn't invent dog clothes and wasn't the first to dress up her dog, and second of all - putting clothes on a dog does NOT MAKE YOU STUPID AND DOES NOT MEAN YOU TREAT YOUR DOG AS A POSSESSION! I dress my dog because I think the clothing is adorable and my dog is my baby - my child - and I love having her look adorable. I take her places with me because she is my child and I want her to be with me. At least those of us who dress our dogs, actually LOVE our dogs, and don't try to sell them to the highest bidder because we couldn't potty train them! You are the one who treats your dog as a possession! If you cared about her at all you'd let her stay where she is now. And who are you to say something is stupid? There are people on here that choose not to dress their dogs but they respect those of us who do dress our dogs. It's a personal preference and not stupid at all. You just really sound like someone who thinks a dog is just a dog and in no way truly cares about Lola.

And about the harness...who cares if the golden is using a harness or a collar. If your son is holding onto the leash, the golden is large enough and strong enough to drag your son whereever it wanted to go...and your son would either be dragged along or would let go of the leash. Either way, not a good situation. My parents would have never let me walk our lab when I was a child. I wasn't even allowed to play with her alone because she could accidentally knock us down trying to play.

Oh, and NO vet would tell you they don't need to see your dog for three years! Even if it's not time for vaccinations every vet will recommend a good physical exam to make sure everything is okay. The fact that you didn't make sure she was checked out regularly and that she received no vet care shows that you don't do what's best for her.

All in all, I very much hope you don't get Lola back..she deserves better

Are you dead serious?? WE are acting like bratty kids?? Standing up for what I believe in isnt bratty hun...I have read and re-read this thread. I DO NOT think for one minute that she misses her dog..ya maybe you made a mistake years ago by selling a dog but you didnt try and take that dog back from the person who bought it from you did you?? This dog hasnt had health care for 3 years!!!! That is not normal...what vet says...see ya in three years!!??? That is ludicis and IMO a big fat lie!! I totally agree that there are always two sides to a story but for what Maria posted it is only too obvious that she had other motives...this dog wasnt just put up for sale one time and then ooops I cant sell her I miss her so much...she has been up for sale for almost a year???!!! That is NOT an ooops!! Rachel loves this dog and has ALREADY done more that Maria has done in 3 dang years and that upsets me very much..I do not want to see Lola go back in that situation...do I think she is using a 6 year olds feelings to make us feel bad...YOUR DAMN RIGHT I DO...Rachel hun hold on to that dog until the law tells you you cant hold her anymore..at least you will have tried your best!!! You have my support 110% as you know!!! Maria has dissed EVERY MEMBER here that dresses their yorkie..which would probably be at least 98% of us...and this is my second family and I will stand beside them all!

NO, I didn't try buying her back, but, it wasn't because I didn't miss her, because I DID..! she's got a good home and still in the family..I don't know about 98% of people dressing dogs...I had to buy a darn coat for this puppy, only because last week she wasn't running around in the back yard, I would sit and hold her..I don't care who dresses up their dogs..my opinion, it does look rather ridiculous! Not standing up for anyone, just giving my honest opinion.. a lot of people on here have said how they really don't have much money, but yet have money to buy dog clothes?? Heck, it about killed me having to go to the pet store 2 years ago and buying 3 dog sweateres when it was cold and our power went out..but, we had no heat, and I had to put these on my dogs, I think they hated having them on as much as I hated putting them on..So, as far as the clothes, like I've said before to each his own, but, I also think it's pretty ridiculous..I had my kids, I clothed them...

My post hardly had anything to do with people dressing their dogs or not?? Thats a personal preference and not rediculous to me..if you wanted my opinion..there was much more substance to my post than that..

Also wanted to add that there are probably 2% that dont dress their dog to some degree...

Oh and another thing, it doesn' t mean I don't love my dogs because I don't put clothes on them, it means that I realize they're my pets, they are a dog..they don't require clothes..I just can't believe how much money these places making dog clothes are bringing in...I know Jay Leno feels the same way I do..

I very much doubt 2%..maybe 2% of this board..I go to town a lot, I go in the pet stores, I go in petsmart, not ONCE have I seen anyone in there with clothes on their dogs...maybe they dress them up at home, but, they sure don't when I see them out and about down here! It's like a little fashion statement..these poor little dogs..

More than 2% of yters own stores that sell or make clothes for pets. It doesnt really matter. Dog clothes have nothing to do with this thread you can do a poll in "polls" to find out a exact %.

And I can help but add..why do you call the dogs that are dressed up poor little dogs?? Poor little dogs are dogs that are in puppy mills shooting out god knows how many litters a year..poor little dogs are dogs that are tied to a tree in the back yard in the middle of winter or the burning heat of summer, poor little dog is the dog that has been kicked and beaten to death by its owner, poor little dog is a dog who has spent a year up for sale!! Poor little dog is the dog that hasnt been to the vet in three years..Poor little dog IS NOT dressed up in clothes...
