yeah i wasnt trying to upset anyone either. i dont even know if i can make it either. i was just saying everyone keeps picking their own states based on their convenience but most of them arent central states so thats why i stated what i did. i mean it doesnt matter to me if i make it i make it if i dont i dont. im still gonna enjoy YT and the people on here through the interent and hope i can make it next time.

well i'm hoping by the end of the month ... early june we can have a state picked... and this way it will give you a WHOLE year to plan and save!! we want you to be there

god this is a lot to read thru.

just my 2 cents, if there is only one meet up in the central US i know for a fact that i wouldn't be able to go. i have no money to fly and i can't drive that far by myself nor would i want to just for a weekend (and i can't take off of work to give myself more time). sorry but as nice as it would be to have one location for everyone to meet up its just not ideal for people in my like situation.

To give a little more of an update, we are looking seriously right now at Kansas City. Nothing has been decided definitely, but there are a few on the committee familiar with the area and Kansas is the most central state. But, for those of you who cannot travel easily - the plan is to start with a central location for the first YT Yorkie Fair and then to do a coast for the next two years. It will never be convenient for everyone, but we will do the best we can and give all areas an opportunity.

The ultimate idea would be to have as many YTers there as can make arrangements to come!! There will be sightseeing opportunities as well. So hang tight as we continue to plan and we'll see where this all leads.

For those of you who liked Michigan, there will be another Yorkie Fair next year planned by the committee that did this year's MI Yorkie Fair. But with many thousand current YTers who all want to meet each other this idea was born!!!!

What a great idea!!!

Unfortunatly with my babies and breeding, I am only able to attend a 1 day affair, so flying and traveling is OUT for me

But I'm deff. in for the Yorkie Fair next year in Michigan! That was very do-able! And so much FUN! I need to find more "dog" activities to attend here in Michigan. I LOVED it!

Just no over night trips for me!

It doesn't have to be overnight. You can take some time off and plan a vacation along with the meet-up and everything.

I'm originally from Kansas City, MO (even though I moved to CA 2.5 years ago), so let me know if I can be of any help you you. I'm very familiar with the KCMO area (Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Independence, etc.), as well as Overland Park, KS and anywhere around there. I definitely like the idea of going back there to visit! (Too bad I don't still live there...that would've been sooooo convenient for me...although I probably wouldn't have Sukoshi if I hadn't moved here, so on second thought...let's not change anything...)!

Wow, what a project! I think it's a good idea that whatever state doesn't get chosen, maybe the people of that state can carpool or shorten their drive by meeting up somewhere. Just a thought. Indiana folks UNITE and ride together. That is, if we don't get chosen. We didn't get the SUPERBOWL in 2011 but we could have the YORKIE BOWL 2008!!

Overland Park is actually an area we are considering due to the convention center and the KCMart!!!!! Will definitely pick your brain if we move forward with this location!!!
