Dobie, Will you answer four questions and give me straight answers from your heart and the part of you that you would consider a good person? Lets not even say these questions are about Brushy Creek, just any puppymill. 1. Do you think that someone that sells say 10 different breeds of dogs and probably sells more than 500 dogs a year a puppymill? Yes or No? 2. Do you think it is ok for someone to sell dogs that they know are sick to people just to put money in their pockets? Yes or No? 3. Would it be good business to take back sick dogs and not even treating them and knowing they are sick turn around and sell them to the next person looking for a puppy? Yes or No? 4. If this happened to you and you paid big bucks for a dog and got a sick dog and every attempt of yours was shunned to try and discuss it with them, would you be angry? Yes or No? Thanks for answering |
I just sent a e-mail to Oprah.com. There is a place to suggest story ideas for the show. I have watched her for many many years and I don't recall her ever doing anything on puppy mills. I just read this thread yeaterday for the first time. It took me a few hours to get through it. Animal cruelty of any kind just makes my blood boil. |

and Dobie - if you answer truthfully then I may change my feeling that you're only posting to be a pain in the butt lol - :D :D :D (seriously - I have NO hard feelings toward you..... but after the Alligator comment - I HAD to say that) :D |

1. Well anyone who sells large quantities of dogs would be considered a puppy mill in my mind. My definition of Large quantities is over 20 a year IMO anyone who sells dogs is in it for the money I don't care what they say. (Or it wouldn't be done) People don't do something to lose money. 2. No 3. No 4. Yes, been there done that. Hope that answers your questions. |

FOX: it should be on the site NOW. >Go to www.myfoxhouston.com >Click on the "news" tab >On the right side of the page, under "only on fox," click on "Randy Wallace, Fox 26 Investigates" >You will find a list of Randy's stories that can be played on that page. The most recent items are at the top of the list Inside Edition: It should be on the site tommorrow - but you can check times in your area by doing this GO HERE - http://www.insideedition.com/ourstories/thisweek/ at the top - click 'WHERE TO WATCH' ....then in the middle it says 'LOCAL LISTINGS' and you choose your state. Edited to add - Dobie - good answers - parts of you ARE a good person (smile) - that was honest at least. |

if you answered the way you did why in the world are you defending Brush Creek Kennels. It just makes you look bad. I think you are a good person but you remind me of my brother. If someone says the sky is blue, he would have to disagree with it. |

Alligator comment? I know not of what you speak:rolleyes: |

I mean dogs/especially puppies do get sick. I mean I know this I have lots of animals and lots of vet bills. I give my annual vaccines myself does that mean I don't do them? Some places say that. But I would have to say the sky is blue most of the time except when its cloudy or overcast or night! nevermind |

I have a question if you wish to answer. Well a couple actually. 1. Why in the world would you have teacup on your web site after all that has been said here about them?2. 2. Do you charge more money for them if you have them? 3. How many dogs do you sell a year? |

and Dobie - nice sidestep but the subject isn't about members here and their websites - it's about a big Kennel that needs to take a good look at their business practices. |

I have 3 breeding females and have only had two litters. I will only have 2 litters a year. I still have 2 pups available from the second litter. |

Just My Opinion. Thanks for the clarifications. and sorry for being off topic. And you will prob. make money at it and that is to be expected so good for you. |

She was/is a broker.. how does that make her any better? |

I'm pretty certain most all breeders here would be mortified if they sold someone a dog that was NOT healthy. I don't expect Brushy creek to be shut down - but I DO expect someone in charge of so many lives would give a damn and make sure they are healthy. |

OK...I have stayed out of this...but one thing I want to add.... I want to know how many reputable breeders out there are actually making any money. .... The ones I know......Most of them are in the hole. Why are they in the hole...because they take every measure possible producing healthy puppies. They do every test imaginable...... They do everything in their power to make sure every puppy is healthy. If they have a breeding where there is a sick puppy...they try to find out why it is sick. Many times they not breed the parents again. Reputable and respected breeders are in it to better the breed. From what I have gathered here....this man who own this business could care less about any of that. He is in it to make money. IMO---he could care less about the welfare of his breeding stock....as long as they keep producing.....sick or not......anything for a quick buck..... |
