That's how it came across to me also. I don't see how it makes her any better but I was not at the court and I do not know what it was all about. That's where I would have liked some more attention paid. Instead of a quick chat with her attorney (BTW attorney's :thumbdown )

I reread your question and misread it. I dont sell to breeders because I would live in fear they would end up in a place like Brushy Creek. Many breeders dont sell breeding rights for various reasons. I dont want to get so far off post that this thread will be closed. I didnt mean to imply you were David.

At least she is concerned about her reputation and wants to sell healthy pups and that makes her better. She obvioulsy has a conscious or got herself in a legal mess with selling his sick dogs and had to get compensated for her legal bills too.

Somehow I seriously doubt that record keeping was something he was good at. Look at how many 100's of sick dogs passed through his hands, but he was an excellent record keeper? I am sure that's why he isn't responding. If the reporter asked him how many dogs he has Mr. Moore probably couldn't answer. How many complaints? Again, no answer. Specific questions in relation to certain dogs that died, again no answer. I can see exactly why he and his attorney chose not to respond. What were they going to do? Claim the fifth amendment on every question? With each question respond with "I'll have to check my records and get back to you on that one". The big eye roll comes right about now.

Dobiedude - before this goes even more off base - the bottom line is - The NEWS investigated. The NEWS found enough to run a story. The NEWS obviously has enough factual claims to run a SERIES of stories on this kennel. They tried to get Brushy Creek to comment and he didn't....so based on these facts - what is the HUGE discussion here ?? Why keep this going ?

The other bottom line is this will only HELP DOGS and as a human being who claims to care about animals - that should be a PLUS in your eyes. David Moore isn't going to go out of business over a newshow but maybe he WILL clean up his act.

I have not had a chance to read all the posts today but I want to pass along some information some of you may be wondering about. If we interviewed you (like woofshepherd), then you will be in our next story that could air within a week or two.

Since last night's story aired, we are being bombarded with calls and emails from more people who want to tell us about a bad experience with Brushy Creek. Frankly, I've been doing this for a long time and I've never seen so many people who want to go on the record to complain about a business. Not even from large corporations that have millions of customers like Exxon, General Electric or utility companies or the postal service. Who would think that such a response could come from just one little business in Hockley, Texas? Amazing.

Our next report will deal more on the emotional and financial toll on some of Brushy Creek's customers. We may or may not have time to include comments from law enforcement, district attorney's office and Humane Society. Part three of our report could come sooner rather than later.

Also, I did see a post by Dobiedude from early today or yesterday that was on the money (I know some of you might find it hard to believe). He ventured to guess that last night's story was short and limited in scope because we just wanted to get the story on the air before anyone else. That's pretty much correct. We know of at least two other media outlets working on this story. We wanted to put something on the air as soon as possible to claim the story as ours. That way our marketing people can use phrases such as "first on fox." We knew that the portion of our story involving the civil case was thoroughly researched, documented and ready for air. I don't mind competition at all but we like to be first in this business.

but how sad on the many emails and phone calls - it's worse than I even thought at Brushy Creek Kennels....I had no idea there would be this kind of reaction but all I can say is WAY TO GO FOX NEWS ! It may go National but this is YOUR story and you deserve all the credit.

Did you also hear that the vet stated the animal had been brought in the week before by another person it had been sold to? Again, as I stated in a previous post, you are simply being contentious. It wouldn't matter what was presented, you would try to find some way to invalidate it. Admit it...you just like to argue and you have found the perfect place for it because these folks feel so deeply about what is being investigated. If David Moore himself admitted all was true, you would seek a way to invalidate his statements as well.

You just aren't the type of person who can readily admit that they have been proven wrong, as you have. You would rather keep the argument going so that you can continue to derive the pleasure you find in being argumentative.

I watched report online and left feedback! Thank you so much for bringing this heartbreaking topic to the general public. I really hope it educates people to start questioning where their puppies and kittens are coming from. I will be watching for upcoming reports!
