Brush Creek Kennel Investigation Hello all, I am an investigative news producer for a local TV station in Houston, Texas. I am looking into the very controversial Brushy Creek Kennel in Hockley, Texas. I have reviewed dozens of complaints against Brushy Creek at the Better Business Bureau in Houston. To proceed, I need to hear from people in the Houston-area who have had a bad experience with Brushy Creek. We cannot expose this alleged puppy mill without help from the public. We need people who are willing to be interviewed for our story. I have read a great deal about Brushy Creek on this site and need to learn more about the lawsuit that was supposedly filed against the kennel. It was mentioned on one thread and then dropped from discussion. So please, please contact me if you have any information on Brushy Creek. They are still selling puppies every day and will continue to produce heart-breaking stories until they are exposed. Please help us. David |

I didn't buy a puppy but I've personally been there and have some contacts I can share from people who DID buy sick puppies. ohhh and a note on another puppymill is jeff dane's mill. if you go into search, and put his name, you will see lots where people have wrote about him. he is also in tx. i forget what his kennel name is |

Dane's operation is not like Brushy Creek - I know someone who's been to his place & from what I know - they're 2 completely differently run businesses. Brushy creek is BAD news - they've sold so many puppies that died it makes me sick - not just yorkies - other breeds too :( :( :( There's already a group of people that got together thanks to the internet and hopefully some news coverage WILL help the dogs - I REALLY hope this is legit and David is going to be the voice in Houston for these dogs.....I'm thrilled !! and FINALLY someone is listening to the complaints. David - if you're real - you have my admiration & cooperation. I stated I Did NOT buy a dog from BC Kennels .... but anything I can do to help or forward -it's yours. |
Hey when you're done in TX do you want to come to Lancaster County, Pa? We have a puppy mill here that nobody seems to be able to shut down. Humane league even went in and confiscated animals and documents and the courts said give everything back. :confused: |
I'm just thrilled if this is real - I wrote you guys over 2 years ago regarding this awful kennel - and I just sent you a private message.... I didn't buy a dog from them but have been to their place. Yeah, as LITTLE respect as we have for Jeff Dane, I also understand why HE thinks he runs such a classy operation. Sadly, there are way way way worse puppy mill cases out there, and it will be YEARS and years before the laws or the media see anything notably wrong with what Dane is doing. IMO. Good luck going after Brushy Creek....I've been hearing bad things about them (and Jeff Dane) since I first started looking into buying a yorkie. They do need to get shut down! |

I wish you luck. What a wonderful thing you are doing for those little pups. I hope and pray you get all the info you need to shut them down. It isn't fair to our fur-friends to call those who run puppy mills *animals*. I wish they were animals because then they would have compassion. These *things* are not human in my book. They are from somewhere besides earth, or a product of some mad scientiest here on earth. What ever they are we all know they need to be punished, and severly, for the crimes they are inflicting on our best friends. I just re-read this thread & had to say since I posted I needed to verify the member that this IS legit ....I did receive a reply from this reporter & I'm so proud of him and FOX news for taking an interest in this Kennel :thumbup: I'll never watch NBC news again lol - and I just wanted to say this one more time and I'll be quiet - We CAN make a difference even when we think we can't....:) all it takes is someone just like David to listen and start the ball rolling....it's a small step but who knows - his story just may be THE story to gain national attention - I have BIG dreams lol and wish him all the best in his investigation. |

Just want to say that although I have no knowledge/experience with Brushy Creek, I am very proud of David & Fox26 for investigating this. You've got a new fan in your viewing area. I can't help wondering how those poor dogs/puppies are being cared for in this unusually cold weather for our area. |

Wow good for you. I hope you get the information needed to close this horrible place down and save the lifes of innocent animals.
