Ok that story didn't really say a whole lot. I think they (Fox) just wanted to break the story first.
Here is what I gleaned out of the story
1. A lawsuit was filed and awarded. I am guessing it was because he sold sick dogs to her? Maybe David with Fox can answer this?
2. It appears she was in the horse business and never in the dog business until she was approached by David Moore? Right?
3. She was a Broker at first and now she is a puppy mill?
The reason I say this is I looked up the definition of "Puppy Mill" and it said this:
"Main Entry: puppy mill
Function: noun
: a commercial farming operation in which purebred dogs are raised in large numbers"
From the quick clip we saw or her operation it appears she is a puppy mill too? Did it look that way to anyone else?
Wow I will be curious to see the rest of the report.

Wow, now those determined to defend Brushy Creek criticize the story by picking apart the woman involved in the lawsuit.

I suspect that if we knew the details, most of us wouldn't agree with the way that SHE raises or sells dogs either. BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!

THE POINT IS, DAVID MOORE SELLS SICK DOGS!!!! And courts examined that fact and found evidence to support it, to the tune of thousands of dollars worth of damages rewarded to one person alone!!!

THAT'S the story!

Can I ask what ARE you talking about ? I saw the news last night and not one thing you posted was in that report. And LOL on the Puppy mill description - It appeared she sells ONE breed - (I'm not sure but it looked that way)

HOW MANY BREEDS DOES Brushy Creek sell again ?? Is it about 10 breeds ....maybe more ???

What I saw was a woman who obviously had very bad dealings with Brushy Creek and won a lawsuit - plain and simple. We may not have seen the particulars but I DO know she isn't alone. Dobie - I'm all for hearing both sides of the story - but since you happen to be a friend to the Kennel I have a feeling you would say anything to put them in a good light.

I don't want to debate - but when a kennel is investigated AND there are repeat problems stemming from people who have NO relation to each other - maybe David Moore needs to take some of that money he's made from selling dogs and make sure they aren't SICK.

I think it said she breeds Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and only those. Don't know where he got his info.....????

Why don't you want to debate. V you seem to be absent when everyone ask hard questions why is that? I had fair questions they didn't attack anyone. How am I a friend of the kennel? I mean you keep saying that but you have no proof and I have invited anyone to my home to visit me and I even told you to check the IP address if you want.
Several of you guys are quick to jump on puppy mills and all I was pointing out is a puppy mill is exactly what Websters defines it as so don't just be selective on who you go after. Websters never defined a puppy mill as having multiple breeds either so that argument is out.
Where did I put them in a good light I ask questions about her from what I saw on the fox story which was weak at best. You should be able to go online and get the info from the court case shouldn't you? If they were true investigative reporters they would have provided more about the court case I would think. What exactly was the court case about anyway? and don't try to answer because we don't know and Fox did not say exactly.
So go figure.

Did you hear (in the report) that he sold a sick dog, it was returned to him and he still (knowing it was sick) resold it to the lady who (apparently not knowing it was sick) sold it to someone else?

Yes I hear that from her attorney but I trust them less than the media.

From everything I have read/heard this Mr. Moore has a truckload of money to always fly out of the country. I know what airlines/accomodations cost these days for international travel. Any time someone had a sick pup he flew out of the country.

I can only speak for myself ....I don't go out of my way to be negative but I told the truth about my dealing with this Kennel - just as the people who bought sick dogs are telling the truth.

I don't know WHO you are and don't need IP addresses or to visit anyones home to take them at their word ...you have every right to post here just as I had every right to talk about my experience with them.

and as far as the report last night. I don't need more info - he lost - she won. Simple.

totally true. When I called them AFTER my visit to find out why I had to deal with that woman 'Dawn' and not him.... & to let him know they had misrepresented the yorkie I was interested in and tried to sell me a totally different one than the one I came to look at--- I was told (as everyone else is told) he was out of the country. Seems he uses that line to everyone when there is something he wants to avoid.

Well you didn't provide any answers to any of my questions you just brush it off because you don't have answers. Yeah you speak for yourself and many others at times it appears.

Way to go Fox news!! I'm glad you got this story going. Hopefully it will open some eyes to not only that kennel but puppy mills in general.

Good job Fox News. I think the report had enough information to put doubt into people's minds and bad news travels fast. I also feel this report will bring alot of people out of the wood work.

Oh! and maybe I've just had too much coffee this morning, but this Dobie Dude is really beginning to get on my nerves.

Dobie - don't you feel BAD for these puppies ?? do you know how miserable they are when they don't feel good ?? Do you have no compassion for what They go thru when they ARE sick - some have been so ill they died :( :( That's REALLY sick Dobie....They didn't go easily either - they suffered.

Add that with a plane ride and you have miserable little puppies being carted all over the country - that's just cold & heartless on the Kennels side.

How hard is it to spend a little money to make sure the dogs have preventable illness ?? That kennel has MONEY - they should put the health of the dogs FIRST as ANY breeder should.

I am so glad that at least for today it appears one puppymill is going to be put out of business. But as I have always said, to have a kennel so large that you have to hire outside help, I think that in itself speaks volumes. Rescues have to do the same thing, hire outside help. but think of all the lives they are saving. That's why rescues try to use as many foster homes as they can. Knowing that each animal deserves one on one attention and love. No amount of money can buy that.

LOL READ MY POSTS Dobie - I hardly said anything to you in this mile long thread. You have done nothing but debate and say the same things over and over, not to mention - you took it so far off the subject that it's been hard to follow.

I haven't commented on your many posts because I didn't see a need to comment. I'm not out to post for the sake of posting in this thread - I'll post when I have something to contribute - But as you said - I don't know you & you don't know ME so we do agree on something :)

No offense taken my wife says that sometimes too! I am not antagonistic I asked if anyone got what I did out of the piece. I realize they wanted to break the story first but they could have put a little more effort into it. But I must say Mr. Wallace was turned to his good side at the end. Feathers hurt the most quill first.

You know that saying "Don't under estimate the power of a woman?" Well there's plenty of woman on this board. Maybe we all need to write a letter to Oprah. I think she would jump all over this story :D :D :D .

I did get an attorney and guess what Mr. Moore told him that he would give me half of the money back of the cost of the puppy (the first one) I called him and he told me that he had settled it with my attorney and I would be getting a check in the mail for the half of what I paid for the pup. Guess what! I never receive any check, He lied to my attorney, and when I called him he was really rude and lied and told me my check was already sent out and that was 1 month later then when I confronted him in the phone conversation he hung up the phone on me. This guy is a BIGTIME LIAR!!!!Period.
Also, everytime I had wanted to talk to him he was ALWAYS out of the country. And this will tell you all that they are only in it for the money because when I went out the first day to pick up my baby. Dawn (the lady with one arm) said that with the sales of the dogs they "breed" that is how they paid for all there land and nice homes/offices. What does that tell you??? they only care about the MONEY. Also, when I asked them what types of dogs they breed, they told me they breed only shih tzu (which is what I went for) and cavalier king charles spaniels... There's another Lie they told me. LIERS, MONEY HUNGRY PEOPLE.(if you want to call them that, its a disgrace to human beings):mad:

Why didn't your attorney call him back & ask about it? I mean when an attorney is involved they usually don't want you to talk to anyone.
BTW What does one arm have to do with anything? just curious.

He did call him back but he was always out of the country, when he did answer he said that he already sent the check. My attorney is a family member..hint...hint...
