| GRR People make me angry! So I was just on my way home from the store. And It's 8:45 here so its pretty dark outside. Especially since my neighborhood doesn't believe in Street Lights, anyway I slam on my breaks because there is a little dog sitting in the middle of the road. I honked my horn and he just sat there. So I backed up and went around him, at which point he started chasing my car. Any other time I would feel bad, because I know if Stump got out I'd want someone to return him, but I know for a fact that these people could careless. Their dogs (this one was a french bulldog, their other is a shih tzu, and at one time they had one that looked like a yorkie mix) are always out and about, romping around the neighborhood. Their Shih Tzu even attacked Stump once on a walk!! Plus these people let their 5 year olds play in the Street with no supervision. Sorry I had to rant, it made me angry, how could you not care about your dog? It makes me want to scoop him up and give him a good Loving and Caring home!! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | you should take him one night and give him to a loving home. i'm sure they wouldn't care or put up that much of a fight to find him. i was gonna do that with a dog in my neighborhood. an eskimo dog kept getting loose and i would find him running all over the place. i picked him up and returned him 3 times to the owners and told them not to leave him chained to a poll in the side yard that isn't fenced in. I told myself the next time i find him, i'm taking him to the no kill shelter. he would be snatched up in a heartbeat cause he's so damn cute.

| I know my neighbors (they are like family) have called several times, and they won't come out and do anything about it. They said it wasn't a priority call because the dog knew his way home and was just "playing". Yet this guy called the cops on my neighbor's daschund because he was in his yard using the bathroom without a leash on, and he started barking at the guy walking his dog. The cops came and said they heard she had a viscious dog. Lol, we still joke about it, their dog (RIP Alvin) was scared of Stump!! Lol he was the laziest dog in the world. He wouldn't have enough energy to go bite another dog. |

| i have a similar neighborhood here in Indy. I have followed 2 different dogs after dark and tried to take them home but they were "less than responsive". A little black poodle hid from me, in what I hope was HIS back yard. And a black lab got a little aggresive and i quickly retreated. I can't help it when I see one loose. Even if the owner doesn't care, or realize, that they're out, I think, if it was me, I would want someone to let me know. I completely understand your frustration! Vent on sister!!! Both owners had no idea of my good intenions. I haven't seen the poodle again, but the lab gets out quite often. He's not been neutered and has been known to jump peoples fences into their back yards. Come on people. Take responsibility and treat your pets like pets.

| devoted to Lucy! Stuff like this makes me insane! The couple next door to my parents had 3 mid sized dogs. Their yard is fenced in, but one of the dogs kept getting out. The guy next door tied the dog at the bottom of the steps which have a wrought iron railing. Long story short, the dog ended up tangled up in the wrought iron and hung himself. My parents kept calling animal control because the animals never had food or water. Daddy kept using the hose to fill a bucket on the other side of the fence, but there's only so much you can do. That poor dog died because the owners were too sorry to take care of it. Kim and Lucy |

My grandma lives on a big farm like property and she had her little pom tied outside so he could get some fresh air (everytime she let him out he would go play by the street and people thought he was lost and would take him, even though he was still in her yard), anyway she had him tied up, heard an awful scream, and 3 Medium Sized Dogs, (not pitbulls,) decided they were hungry. Her dog died later that night, but I feel if the owners of those dogs would have kept their dogs on a leash, or fenced in their back yard it wouldn't have happened. | |

| In my parents neighborhood the kids are NOT afraid of cars, and always take up the whole street and refuse to move. One time I pulled up behind 3 kids (probably preteen age) and honked at them to move out of the street. 2 of them moved, the other one looked at me, and purposely walked in the middle to block me. I revved my engine, slammed on the gas and sped past him, only being about 5inches away from him. The look on his face was priceless. He honestly thought I was going to hit him.
