I haven't been on in a long time, and the reason for this is the way I have seen people talk to each other. There is some great advice to be had on here by some very knowledgeable people. I just had to take a break do to all the drama. In the end we all want what is best for our furbabies. Educating someone in a positive manner is a much different matter than making the OP or anyone else on here feel belittled or a bad furbaby parent! So I am going to give YT another chance and hope I see more positive educational posts than the member bashing I encountered the first time around. Kudos for the OP for addressing this in such a positive way!:)

Totally agree with this! As a new member I recently experienced some not so polite feedback to my post on here. I admit I did not put my words right but that does not give people the right to be out right mean about my character and situation! It's a good job I have a strong back bone and personality otherwise I would not come back on here. However the people on here who give me really helpful advice were brilliant for me and have ended up helping my situation greatly :)


Hopefully some people on here can learn to have more respect for other people and keep their rude opinions to themselves and start just being a bit more nice! A bit of kindness never hurt anyone :)

When you refer to a living being, a dog on a dog lovers post board as an it you are going to get opinions you don't like because it shows lack of care. We all are allowed to voice our opinions as long as we follow the rules even if others don't like the opinions.

If you opinion has nothing to do with what I'm asking and about the way I have wrote something then quite frankly on my posts, no I'd prefer you not to have an opinion in future especially when you were proven wrong in this case. And there were much ruder people than you so I wasn't actually talking about you so you clearly knew you were being awful if you felt the need to write back to this! Lol.

You can't control who posts on your threads. I have an opinion about pretty much everything and as long as I follow the rules I get to express them. I do not feel I was awful but I will stand up for my friends on here also so that is why I felt the need to reply.

Ok that's nice. You've now reminded me why I didnt come on one of these sights sooner. You may feel you are sticking up for your "friends" but let's be honest most of the bad things said to be were about my grammar which straight away i said I had made an mistake, was there any need for everyone to keep going on at me? No there wasn't at all. People made judgments about my character without reading the facts that, is what you call out right awful. How about next time you accept people innocent mistakes instead of jumping down their throats?

I stopped reading it so I didn't see picking on the grammar unless you are talking about the calling the dog an it. If it was more then that then you should report it to the moderators because picking on someone's grammar is against the rules. Look I didn't jump down anyone's throats but you sure just did. It bothers me and seems like a red flag when someone refers to a living being as an it and it really bothers me. That has nothing to do with grammar. I do not feel I was awful but after giving my opinion I walked away.

I have said over and over again i was just trying to fit everything in without going on for ages I didn't mean anything by it!!! Honestly this is ridiculous. Yes I was wrong but even before you had posted I had said sorry for it so why be nasty about it? If you weren't actually that bothered about reading the post then why comment and make me feel bad? Why would you need to give your opinion on something you were clearly not interesting in keeping up on if you couldn't even be bothered to read it all. Just seem like you wanted to put me down and then leave to me.

No I thought it showed lack of care to use the word it and it bothered me ALOT. I said more then just that as well but you only want to harp on the bad. When someone posts on a thread they normally never read the whole thread first. I also do not see how people calling you out for refering to the dog as it is mean or nasty. I would think it strange if no one did on a dog lovers message board.

If you really want to keep going on about this then you can, on your own because your boring me. It is mean and nasty after the person has admitted the mistake but did not mean it badly. I am sorry that on this dog lovers board that people can't make mistakes and move on from them and since it was my first time doing anything like this I didn't expect people to be so harsh. And you didn't really say anything helpful; you asked me if I was sure jake could hear and see and was he abused? if he could not hear and see properly then I'm sure our vet would have picked up on it the multiple times he has been and if he was abused I would have wrote that down, I'm not an idio! Well I would read the whole thread first, because then you know what's going on properly and don't make harsh uncalled for comments about a issue that has already been picked up on.

It is very rare that someone is going to read a whole thread before responding. I brought it back up because you seem to not understand how message boards work. As long as we follow the rules me get to post are opinions sometimes they maybe read different then they were meant, sometimes they may be ones we don't agree with and sometimes they rant sugar coated but that's just how it is. You can't control who posts on your threads or what they post. Also no not all vets will pick up on hearing or vision loss. Although Sammy is not blind or does not have an serious issues he absolutely does not see that great and the vet dosent know that unless we tell her of mention something about his eyes and then she would have to look at them and test them. It is not something that is done in a normal vet check.

Again this is when I say I had already wrote that he had been vet checked several times and I know you had said you hadn't read it but how many times are people expected to write the same answers over and over again. Regular vet checks doesn't mean they checked eyes and ears and ran blood work. That is stuff you normally have to ask for. I am not talking to you like you are stupid again if you feel that way I am sorry. It does matter because it does show bond issues. And it is a big deal you are new to this board you have not seen the bad that comes here. At the end of the day it really does matter it can show a lot. Like if my mother referred to me as an it people would be shocked it's just never ok to do that with any live being.
