Do you get Snubbed by other yorkie owners often?

I think it's more annoying that they think they are funny!! Or that they have to say it EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like, oh yeah, that wasn't funny their first hundred times I heard other people say that, but now that YOU'VE said it, OMG it's so clever!

I have had people do that and the "is the dog for sale" or "how much is the dog" line at the shop so many times. One time this guy would not let up. He kept going on, No really, how much for the dog? $1000? I'm serious, I wanna buy him. (HIM?!) So I had enough and I was like, Oh yeah that is SO funny, like I"ve never heard that joke before. He shut up after that, and his friends said "awkward!!" What a D bag.

Never snubbed. All of the Yorkie owners or previous Yorkie owners that I've run into have turned into total Yorkie conversations. The last person I spoke with at Petsmart purchased her pup from the same person that I did. Her baby was a tiny little thing with very long, thick hair. She looked part pom. Since I didn't have Hannah with me I was the one comparing age to size. I'll never forget her hair. I love animals and usually am the approacher.

I just had a really bad feeling about it. They all had their Yorkies dressed up in tutu's and the ladies had their LV bags and typical Irvine style. Give me a break- I could care less about that crap... Anyone can buy that crap!

How I took it in they didnt come talk to us because Pnut and Todd were not all dressed up, they were not females, they didnt have a full coat, and obviously we didnt carry our LV bag to go to a park.

I could imagine what they would say about Galen. His little naked, in between puppy adult hair staged, top knot coming out, hot mess

I think my Lucy is a perfect example of the Yorkshire Terrier. Yet, people question whether she is a "real" yorkie because her tail is intact.

I usually have to explain that the US is one of the hold-out countries that still docks the yorkie's tail. So many people don't seem to realize that the yorkie's tail is cut off by humans - the dog's not born that way.

Also, some people have said, "my, she's a big one!" Lucy is 6 pounds! I also remind them of the breed weight standard. Some people think Yorkies have to weigh 2 or 3 pounds to be legit. Weird ignorance.

I think they were just so stuck in their fancy bull s**t ways- I mean really.. I get compliments on Peanut all the time, esp when he has his puppy cut. So many people tell me how cute he is, but not only his looks how well behaved he is.

I guess if you buy a Yorkie female to dress the up in pearls, tutu’s, blinged out jewelry , to NOT have them play with others then you have some major issues LOL Esp if you run a damn meet up!! LOL

It’s all good, I told Shana- Todd probably would have humped Peanut in the middle of their circle and they all would have had a heart attack and asked us to leave anyway!!

Cooper and I were walking around the neighborhood when 2 woman without dogs approached us. They thought he was adorable. One of the women told me she has 2 dogs - a Yorkie and a lab. I told her my other dog is a Yorkie. I described him as being 16 pounds with floppy ears but has all the traits of a typical Yorkie. Her eyes widened and she made an obnoxious face and said "yes, but mine is a TEACUP. They are probably nothing alike". And the 2 women walked off!

Well he was pretty young haha.. He was super small, maybe 2 pounds. I just took him in my jacket.. Then one of the hooters girls came over and she saw him and was like OMG !! She showed all the girls and they were in love with him! They also gave us a hooters towel.. She said he needed it to keep warm!
