Our Hooters allows dogs in the outdoor seating area. I want to take Max and Teddy to have their pictures taken with the waitresses, but no one will go with me.

We used to sneak Uni in to a bunch of restaurants when she was a puppy too. She was really tiny and I'd just put my sweatshirt over her on a chair and she's go to sleep! LOL

I told her my other dog is a Yorkie. I described him as being 16 pounds with floppy ears but has all the traits of a typical Yorkie. Her eyes widened and she made an obnoxious face and said "yes, but mine is a TEACUP. They are probably nothing alike". And the 2 women walked off!

That was rude!!! I too would have tossed out the B word to that woman. Funny, I can take people being rude to me but do it to my dog and I am all over you.

I was thinking the same thing...about the CA thing. It seems like CA people are so busy or so wary that they can't even smile at you anymore. Copper and I walk in a small park across from my house. We both get excited when we see other dog owners, some are friendly. I long for the day when we can hit it off with another yorkie owner and have the dogs play. Wish the poster above lived closer to me!

So far it hasn't happened with Draco. I once had a guy get super excited when we were in petsmart. He and his gf had just got their yorkie puppy. It was funny he seemed more excited about it than her.
At the dog park we've run into a few yorkies and the owners were always polite.
Most of the Yorkies were bigger than Draco, the one I can remember was half Draco size at the time I think the guy said she was 2lbs. We were at beach and his dog kept escaping and running over to Draco and trying to play, but Draco wasn't interested.

I'm not sure how I'd react if someone did snub me, though I'm not that social of a person I'm pretty good with comebacks heh.

My boys get TONS attention everywhere we go! We were walking around the campground the other day and my friend's daughter was walking my Dexter, this woman stops, calls him over and he wags away and heads over. She picks him up and just cuddles him right to her face, breathing him in, loving on him, kissing him! It was really cute! He stared at me the whole time like MOM HELP ME! She put him down and he ran to me.

I can't say anyone has ever snubbed my boys! Although Dex gets A LOT more attention from other people than Fletch does. Fletch has my heart & soul with his beautiful brown expressive eyes that shine all the love in the world. Dex is just tiny and has a teddy bear face that people just want to hold him and love on him all the time! Neither of my boys are standard looking Yorkies either.

Nena hasn't been snubbed (I think because she is pretty small). They usually ask if she's a maltese mix and compliment her.
Rufus has been snubbed by the vet (she still isn't sure if he's a real yorkie). But when we are walking people just ask if he is a yorkie and smile..
