| ![]() If I'm not mistaken, I think she does or has. But, she just recently posted questions on a girl she is planning to breed.

| ![]() I think the confusion lays with having all dogs mirochiped vs breeding dogs and having a kennel and showing. AKC has rules/regulations for those that breed and if rules are broken the penalties are pretty stiff.

| ![]() I am sure that is where it got mixed up. Threw me off when she said she was new to AKC...why would you want to breed if it was not AKC to start with? That's what ran through my head!

| ![]() Things are a bit tougher in AKC vs other registries. But, AKC doesn't always make you reputable or mean that you know how to breed. It guarantees nothing as far as the breeder. What it does guarantee is that your dog is purebred and at times that doesn't always ring true. As some have found loopholes around parentage and registering non AKC dogs with an AKC litter.

| ![]() Mmmm let me clarify, if your show dog is going to be used for breeding in a kennel, yes. And yes to your breeding dogs.

| ![]() You seem to have made your decision not to buy from her... yay! But maybe you could see what type of set up she has in her house. Either way if it's a puppy mill in the making or a BYB if she's been doing it for 22 years she probably won't listen to advice. Maybe though... |

| ![]() Keeping in mind some breeders are having their pups chipped prior to going to their forever home. All the new family owner needs to do is file the necessary paper work with the universal pet locater company.

Used to annoy me when I would call my daughter (or she would call me) and the first words from her were always "Hey" Apparently it's just a "southern greeting" and I doubt Tammy meant any disrespect. ![]()

| ![]() I lived in the South until a couple of years ago. The only ones that used Hey frequently were very young kids. I'm a bit old fashioned, some of the manners and socially acceptable things my mother taught me really stuck. I remember when I, as a kid I sould respond or addressed with Hey!, she'd come back with Hay is for horses, respond with civility.

Our mothers must have been related! Can't recall how many times I heard my mother say the same thing about hay being for horses. I belong to the "old fashioned" school too.
