| I agree - if there's any way you can manage it, please give this little guy a loving home. And, bless you for being Zoee's special angel!!

BANNED FOR NOT SENDING A GE GIFT! | My little Harry was unwanted because he weighed too much....5LBS....I didn't want another dog when I came across him...but now...now he is my joy and the best friend Trevor had.... He was isolated, not treated well, and after investigation, I found the puppy mill he came from...awful!!! When he first came home he cowered in the corner, wouldn't interact. Now, he is happy, playful. Just the other day some YT friends commented how he holds up his tail, plays with friends, and is much more social. I love him more than words can say!!! |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Okay, I know Thor is technically not a rescue, but someone from work emailed me a picture of him they had taken a while back. They thought it was funny because Thor is standing next to their huge dog, so he looks even smaller. When I saw it, I was shocked at how bad Thor looked. I think he's too skinny now, but everything is a matter of degree, I guess! He's put on about 1/2 a pound since I started taking care of him (this includes last year, when I started dog sitting for him a lot). Is it just a really unflattering picture? Thor, then and now.

| You are just so sweet to say that about me. I just love to hear all of the wonderful stories and all of the happy little pups that have found such great homes.

| My Oliver is a puppy mill rescue. I got him in March and he is approx. 1 year old. He has the usual rescue issues... skittish, scared of men... but he is just so sweet and very smart and I love him more everyday. I had been looking for a Yorkie for some time, and had found a breeder.. then, I saw Oliver on petfinder and fell in love. A friend and co-worker who works with a rescue group here in my city jumped into action, did a home visit, and pulled some strings, as there was a lot of interest in my Ollie! The rest is history. We are currently in obedience training (I got a personal trainer as he seems to love dogs TOO much and wouldn't do well in a large group), and he is learning fast and really settling in to his new life with me. He's a teapot at just over 10 pounds. My life (and arms!) is full!

| We got Sullie this past Jan. He was in a good home, they took foster children in and just didn't have the time for him. A friend of mine mentioned to her groomer that I was looking for a yorkie and lo and behold he said he knew where one was for sale, that this family he knew needed to rehome him. I went to "just look" saying I'm very interested but won't be bringing him home today. Well yeah!!!!! He jumped up in my lap and whined when I left the room so need I say more?? He turned one in March and we are just very much in love with him. He loves us all but he REALLY loves me |

| Rehomed, I guess I'll call it Riley was formerly my daughter's family's dog, and when she had to move and couldn't find a home that would allow pets, I stepped in and said I'd keep him. She made me promise that if she ever found another home where she could have him with her, that I'd give him back to her. WELL.............................................. ... I don't think that's going to happen. When the grandkids come over for a visit, Riley will play with them for a little while, but once they start getting all rowdy and disrespectful to him, he'll go lay down in his kennel. My rule is that no one bothers Riley when he's in his kennel. He's taking time out. When they don't heed the rule, he'll let them know by snapping at them now. He's learned that he doesn't have to put up with all the stuff he used to when he lived with them. He enjoys the calmer life with me, Grandma. My daughter has noticed it too, and now said I can keep Riley because he's so bonded with me, and he's unpredictable with the kids now. She says she'll get a more appropriately sized dog for the kids when they can have a pet. I love my Riley. |

| I'll go on and tell Teddy's story which some of you know. He was given to a shelter after 8 years. They only knew that he was blind in one eye from a cataract and had been bullied and injured multiple times by a Jack Russell Terrier. We adopted him and took him to the vet and found out he had bad teeth and his "good" eye was developing a cataract too. We got his teeth cleaned and the rotting ones pulled. 4 of them, poor baby. He is seeing an Ophthalmologist for his cataracts now. She is monitoring to see if/when we should do surgery. She gave us drops to put in every night and will evaluate him again in July. He was very timid when we first got him and never made a sound but now he talks to us and tells us what he wants. Hes even becoming bossy about when its time to play. SQUEAKY! He generally comes to work with me for at least part of the day. Hes snoring under my desk now. We wish we knew what his life was like before but we have no idea. We only hope hes happy now and feels loved and cared for and safe. Hes such a sweet boy. We have no idea how anyone could give him up. But we're not sorry they did.

| Piper and Sebastian were rehomed, and Suiki and Axel were adopted from the kennels. They are all great dogs.

| My little boy Charlie was a re home. We got him when he was 6 months old he was small extreamly thin and matted so badly he had to be shaved. He was terrified of us for a couple weeks. But he has definitely come around and my other yorkie Nana is his girlfriend I'm sure haha they are completly in love with eachother. Hes 9 months old now and doing very well, although hes still afraid if you approach him to suddenly he usually goes down on his back it breaks my heart that he still does this but he is a very happy little puppy. |

| My little girl is Lucy. She had a rough start in life. I actually found her in a field about 2 miles from my home. At first I was thinking "wow, that cat has BIG ears"... but when I drove back by after a bit, she was still sitting there. I was afraid that she might be lost, so I got out and she ran right to me. She had no sign of a collar had ever been on her and we took her that evening to the vet down the street to she if maybe she was micro-chipped and we could find her home that way. She was not. At that time they guessed her age at almost 4 months. We were anxious for morning through afternoon, the next day, awaiting someone to put a flyer or anything to alert of a missing puppy. We searched craigslist, the animal shelter and the humane society for lost dogs and after 2 weeks, we decided that she was going to join our family. As we never did come across anyone looking for a lost dog, my husband thinks that she was dumped off since she was so eager to be found and picked up. She was more than likely dumped because she is not pure yorkie. It has been 4 months that we have had Lucy now and she is such a fun little gal to have around. She has made a good playmate for our little Chi-terrier mix, Max, that we rescued from the pound back in 2006. She has now been micro-chipped, vaccinated, spayed and working on socialization now in her Denver Yorkie play group. Even though she is not PURE yorkie, we just adore her to pieces!!!
