YT Addict | I rehomed Harley at 4 months old. The girl I bought him from was moving to an apartment and couldn't take him with her. I never understood why she bought him in the first place...she couldn't have had him long because he was so young. Anyway, He is the joy of my life now and loved more than he ever could have been in his last home! Would love to rehome or rescue another one! |

| Hi, 5 years ago I adopted a 12 year old female yorkie named coco at the time. She had a nice home until she was about a year old. Then it was decided she was too heavy to carrt arounnd (She is 7 lbs BTW).. She went to the rescue i got her from and had a home for 4 years..AFTER FOUR YEARS, they decided that a yorkie was "to much for them" (Which they coudl've figured out sooner. So she was, dumped once again. She was adopted then, for 7 years, by a man that was "less then friendly to her"... The rescue took coco from him .. Then I adopted my little luvbug And i renamed her chloe, as her own named scared her She has costed me thousands of dollars in vet bills, I hired a very expensive behaviourist to help me with her fearfulness of humans (Men scared her, loud noises, if you raised your hand, she would cower.).. But i wouldnt trade her for the world. She is now 17 years old (approx) and has been diagnosed with cancer. Right now im just waiting for HER to tell me, when the time is right to say good-bye. She has brought me so much joy in my life. She helped me thru all the rough patches in the last 5 years, from my father dying, to breakups. We had to help each other with the loss of my other yorkie a few months back. I just cant imagine my life without her Im not ready for her to leave me. She is my baby |

| Jodi, I can't get over how much Bogey and doodlebug look like my Addison! Look how far Truman has come! They look awesome and Pebbles is a sweet looking girl. I am still secretly hoping that I see Teagan back in your home someday. He is so special to me, his story will always be in my heart!

| Snickers is a rescue too!! Hi again - Guess I should add my name to the growing list too. I got Snick last year from Missouri - he was 7 mos old at the time. Now he's almost 18 mos and the love of my life - I can't imagine being without him. Actually I have started looking for a companion for him as I am retired and have lots of time and love to give. I am waiting to hear about some dogs I applied for. He is just the best dog though - everybody loves him and he is just a joy!! Last edited by Pammyb; 06-25-2009 at 08:49 AM. |

Hi Shari, I have had a lot of people tell me plus I have done a little checking on the whole idea of allergies. We have rescues several dogs with skin issues to find that they are allergic to just about everything. We put them on a raw diet and they seem to clear up. What are you currently feeding him? I have a rescue that is bald from his neck, his entire trunk, hips, belly and tail. I was told it was something genetic. I started him on raw and he is actually grew and continues to grow hair. His hips are full his neck and shoulder are thickening his tail has some length to it and he is starting to look like a yorkie. His breath has improved, cleaner teeth, less eye drainage and staining. The concept is getting back to a true natural diet. It seems to boost the immune system allowing the body to heal itself. I use Stella and Chewy's raw. My dogs love it and they are really healthy. I know of several dogs that are now off all meds for allergies and pancretites. I also draw titers on my dogs rather than blindly give vaccinations as vaccinations also decrease the immune system.
