Wow, the hostility just went through the roof. Honey, I can't imagine the amount of stress you are under but you have pages and pages of support and offers of money. It is simply the truth that you are a new member. Our members are very generous and many have been taken. Not one single person is accusing you of this but I'm sure you understand people wanting to be cautious.

I remember a few months back, and elderly gentleman joined, in a desperate situation. There were so many wonderful people here that opened their hearts to him and went to simply amazing lengths to help him. They did not question that he had been a member for such a short time, they just saw a person in need and reached out their arms to him.

Lauren I agree with you 100% but I just didn't see any attacks. I'm sure her emotions are very fragile right now- completely understandable but no one did anything wrong.

With all this help and offers financially I suggest being an open book for these generous people, this way no wrong assumptions can be made. You won't have to defend yourself or what your doing if everything is clearly out in the open. I wish you the best with Natalie and think YTers are a wonderful source of help for alot of new and old members, just realize its way to easy for generous, kind and caring people to be taken advantage of so of course they will be overly cautious at times.

Let me just say this....... true "generosity" and "reaching out" to people - does not mean "sitting in judgement to see if they are WORTHY of your generosity"....
And frankly, nor does it earn the right to delve into someone's personal life....

Not one person yet - has "asked a direct question"..... nothing but snide comments or "questions" with an accusatorial tone.

I try and put myself in Dena's "head" when I read these posts. I think of the enormous stress she has been under these past few days. I know only too well how she feels, fighting desperately to save a helpless little creature that you love like your own child. She has been so worried, so sleep deprived and I think she was just shocked to see her integrity questioned. I am sorry, but I see NOTHING here to warrant suspicion.I see a defenseless baby that needs our help; I see a mother that is fighting to get her that help. I prefer to see the good in people, especially when that is what they show me.

There have been scammers on here. If people have questions you should answer them. When you went to admin and asked for a fund set up in your dogs name do you not think people would be asking questions before they gave money to someone on a forum?

Just one small comment....I'm fairly new too...been here a few months, but not a huge poster, but trust me when I say no newbie is going to come on YT and bully someone who has been around here a LONG, LONG time, NONETHELESS has 18,000 posts...so just cool your jets. People are trying to help you...

Hun you have to realize that ppl are just being cautious..Take it for what its worth. Perhaps showing a medical bill or even an x-ray with a date would put ppls minds at ease?? Well thats what I would do.
I understand you wanting to keep your life private, but hun you are in a very public forum raising money and frankly keeping things private at this point is going to seem like you are hiding something. I'm not here to judge you or accuse you of anything. My main concern is Natalie and I hope all these funds raised helps her. I hope you don't think I am being snippy or judgemental as my only intention is to just give you another way of looking at things.

Here's a direct question for you. Is Natalie getting the treatment she needs with the funds you have raised so far?? if the answer is yes I'm glad shes able to get this help!!

About the puppies - where did they come from? I thought you only had your two yorkies, a shih tzu, and a maltese/yorkie mix. Are there more dogs in your house that belong to your roommate? And why is she breeding mixed breed dogs?

Love your post!! I do think public forums leave suspicion for anyone who trys to raise funds though. I think its only fair that anyone willing to help be sure its going to proper places. I am not accussing just offering my opinion. I wish the best for Natalie!!
