We urge all members to be careful when giving money to another person.
However, there have been instances in the past where people just come on to YorkieTalk to solicit money, and sometimes people even lie about it or make up stories. It is impossible to verify everyone's claim and to be fair to all members, we can not allow solicitations for donations for medical help here.
We do not feel comfortable establishing any kind of "medical fund" ourselves, thus we choose to do an annual fund raiser for an established Yorkie rescue organization. |
I truly appreciate Admin's position on this because of past fraudulent claims, and I am aware of a few of them. However, in Natalie's case, her medical condition/treatment can be easily verified. I am not suggesting that a fund be set up, but just wanted to voice my opinion and my frustration with the situation.
