Looks like she just bought 3 adult females and jumped straight into the breeding business. For the sake of her dams and pups, I hope everything goes well.

I have bred dogs before just not this breed. And yes I have started breeding, I have been having my yorkies for quite some time now and this is my choice to breed MY DOGS! I have a mentor that is close by and who will be sitting in on every delivery. Do not judge me. I have to start somewhere just like all of you! My dogs are not tiny dogs, they are all over seven pounds and none of them have had any problems breeding or whelping. Maggie is due on the 7th-10th. I don't know why I put that she was on day 51. I probably meant to put 41. If I found out that I am over my head(which I don't think I will be) I will have someone here that knows what she is doing and she can take over. I have also raised and bred pure bred rabbits..all different kind...all my life. I know that you may not think that this is even close to raising dogs but try it and you'll see how hard it is to keep those tiny babies alive as well! I have had to bottle feed many of those litters for weeks at a time.

I had bred dogs too before getting involved with Yorkies and it really doesn't prepare you as much as might think. And even though this is a breeders' forum, I don't think you'll find many here that started off with 3 pregnant dams at once. I'm really baffled by your original post since you now say you have a mentor. The questions you asked should have been answered for you long ago by your mentor and what kind of mentor would support the idea of someone starting off with 3 pregnant Yorkies at once? You also list a website for selling Yorkies and you haven't even got 1 litter under your belt. Kind of like putting the cart before the horse, isn't it? You are right; they're your dogs and it is your decision and, like I posted before, I hope everything goes well for the sake of the dams and pups. My opinion is that you're going about this dangerously wrong and I can only imagine your motivations. Also, I see from your last post that these girls have been bred before. I hope you realize that there is a responsible limit to how many times a female can be bred. Your girls deserve better than to be turned into breeding machines. I'm not trying to be mean but look at your own posts and your situation then tell me what someone is supposed to think. It isn't exactly the picture of responsible breeding.

Yes I do agree with you that my posts have been silly and I shouldn't have even started this post. I only posted this to make sure to cover all of the information that I have been studying. Sometimes I feel silly asking my mentor easy questions. So I come here for further refrence. I should have really thought about what I was typing instead of just sending it and looking stupid. One of my females has only had puppies once (Maggie) she is two years old, one of my females has had puppies twice(Lucy) she is three years old, and the other one(Scarlett) has had puppies four times and this is her last litter due to her age of being five. She will be spayed after this litter. All of my litters are going to be about three weeks apart from each other. I think that is plenty of time to spend on each litter to make sure everyone is doing great. By the time their eyes are open and they are moving around, I will be having another litter. I know that I am going to have to keep my eyes on them but they won't be so fragile and they will be moving all over. The only thing that I'm worried about is having so many puppies at once running all over the place but I have a big house and I good size yard so they will all be just fine! Also about my website, I made my own website because I am a stay at home mom with nothing else to do with my time. And I also know that I have my hands full in the next three months so I wanted to make sure to cover all the basics before my little ones come. So I am getting all my p's and q's in order before hand.

I'm only trying to have thoughts for U to think of and try to get a better understanding of what U're needs are. How many was in each of U're Yorkies previous litters? We had our 1st litter of 4, then of 6 all with the same mother and father and 13 months apart. I myself don't think I could keep up with 3 females having 3 different litters that close, plus my regular pack of 5 (I could do this next year if I was to find a stud to breed my 2 youngest babies with, but won't due to knowing I can't keep up with all them so close, I choose 1 litter a year). Now I'm sure that there are breeders here that has had 3 litters that close or around the same time and if so I wish they would share their experiences with U so U will have some idea of what to expect. I know one has already shared thier experience with U. "All of my litters are going to be about three weeks apart from each other. I think that is plenty of time to spend on each litter to make sure everyone is doing great. By the time their eyes are open and they are moving around, I will be having another litter. I know that I am going to have to keep my eyes on them but they won't be so fragile and they will be moving all over." And I do have to wonder if 3 weeks apart is plenty of time apart. There's so many ifs in Breeding Yorkies and could haves that happen. "By the time their eyes are open and they are moving around?" They move, poo, pee, can get sick, get into fights, mother can still lay on them, what if they aren't eating right by 3 weeks old? What if U have to hand feed a litter? I'm not trying to be mean but U should really consider maybe hiring someone to be there with U full time for like the next 3 to 4 months. Do U have children? I know it was hard on me to have 10 (Puppies & adults) at one time last Summer, There's no way I could keep up with 10 and say I had 2 more litters due that close together, I would of ask/begged for help. "I know that I am going to have to keep my eyes on them but they won't be so fragile and they will be moving all over." I don't think with U having 3 litters at a time U'll be able to take U're eyes off of them, And to me 3 week old puppies still are so fragile, I don't think they are unfragle until they are like 3 to 4 months old really I don't. Then U still have to watch them close more so with really tiny ones. MY PUPPIES ARE ALL HEALTHY, HAPPY, AND PRE-SPOILED WHEN THEY ARE READY TO COME TO YOU! Why did U put Healthy Puppies on U're web site when they aren't even here yet. I mean I understand U making U're web site early and all but to post that to me isn't right for how do U know this in advance, unless maybe some of U're females was already bred to U're male that U own and then maybe U could say that. But still I wouldn't due to every litter is different even with the same male and female. "WE HAVE HAD TWO LITTERS OF BABIES WITH HIM SO FAR AND HE ALSO HAS THREE MORE LITTERS ON THE WAY!" So did U have them U're self or was he studded out? APRI REGISTERED! What is APRI Registered? I would like to know as I've never heard of it. Are all U're female Registered too? How much does each of U're females weigh? Has any of them had x-rays yet so U know how many to expect? Are U going to be able to afford C-Sections if any is needed? Can I ask where U adopted all U're Yorkies from? Did U get any books that was suggested for U to get? I hope other experienced breeders will help U here with questions U may have so U won't be stuck whelping and not knowing what to do. (I know U've said U're Mentor will be there to help U but it would be nice if U knew some to be of help to her while she is there.) Does U're Mentor live very far from U? I hope this may help U in some way and maybe get U to thinking about getting some help to stay with U, it can get very overwelming and U will be so tired. This is just my OPO.

| I have my second litter coming in 2 weeks, and 6 week old puppies now, plus my four adults. I am wondering how I can keep up too. Organization must be a big part of it. Anyway, we wish you lots of luck and that all are healthy, happy, easy little babies.

Also now that I took my calendar back out...I am noticing that Maggie(my first litter) will be having her babies 5 weeks before Scarlett is due. Then Lucy is due the next week. So I'm very glad that Maggie's litter will be 5 weeks old when I have my next litters. So at the end of May...I will be having my hands full with two litters a week apart. I'm hoping for a small litter with Scarlett because they only tied once and I don't even know if she is even pregnant yet. I'm going to bring her with me when I go to bring the puppies in for their check up.

[QUOTE=Woogie Man;1889724]Yes, you will have your hands full, to say the least. Right now I have 3 litters all born within 10 days of each other.... ---------------------------------- OMG you just described the scene at my house! I have 4 litters born between Feb 1 & 20, total 18 puppies. One was born 1.5 oz and needed special care and hand feeding the first four weeks, so that was a challenge. Now a person could spend all day moving from pen to pen cleaning up after them! Fortunately, I have two good helpers who take over while I come to my day job for some rest...
