I have bred dogs before just not this breed. And yes I have started breeding, I have been having my yorkies for quite some time now and this is my choice to breed MY DOGS! I have a mentor that is close by and who will be sitting in on every delivery. Do not judge me. I have to start somewhere just like all of you! My dogs are not tiny dogs, they are all over seven pounds and none of them have had any problems breeding or whelping. Maggie is due on the 7th-10th. I don't know why I put that she was on day 51. I probably meant to put 41. If I found out that I am over my head(which I don't think I will be) I will have someone here that knows what she is doing and she can take over.
I have also raised and bred pure bred rabbits..all different kind...all my life. I know that you may not think that this is even close to raising dogs but try it and you'll see how hard it is to keep those tiny babies alive as well! I have had to bottle feed many of those litters for weeks at a time. |
