| It was my pleasure and as an exhibitor and breeder is was my responsibility also. I now know what these rescues and shelters deal with day in and day out. To take in these poor things and for the 2 days I had them, the loving sweet nature and like Cathy said, they appreciate even the basic of needs that you supply them. I remember the first night and just giving them a blanket and love and these poor neglected babies all crawled up on the blankets and had no clue what they were and what they were for. I climbed into the xpen and sat on part of the blankets to get them to understand that they were comfortable and ok to lay on. When I sat there they just climbed on me and the petting began. And with eyes like that how do you stop? Meeting you Cathy and Kerrianne was wonderful and from the first moment I knew that no matter what anyone says, there are angels among us. You guys ROCK!! and I know you will find those furever homes that these diamonds in the ruff deserve!

Breeding for the perfect should not go hand in hand with tossing those that do not make the cut into the back kennel (or to a rescue) to be left with a partial jaw, hernia, no teeth at 5 years old, unspayed, unvetted, unvaccinated and the list goes on and on. I too hope these dogs go on to a wonderful life and like Roseslevi will hope to see updates on the YorkiesInc website. I am thankful that kerri and Cathie of YorkiesInc were able to take all of these dogs because as you saw, rescues are FULL and resources few, shelters dont have room, and the problem is a huge societal problem as a whole. ANY breeder who thinks their dog won't end up in a rescue is just a fool IMO. I will spread the word around here in RI to see if there are any good homes that could apply to adopt one of these babies.

| Sad but true. Some may say they know where all their dogs end up, but after doing it for 5 years, 10 years, and so on there is no way even with just one litter of 3 each year you could follow every single one for the average of 13-15 years these babies live. I do my best to interview and screen puppy owners but even I have failed in the past. I now do not sell intact puppies. Many dislike that I spay and neuter so early but it is a choice I make and stand behind with my Veterinarian. I know that by doing that at the least they do not end up in puppy mills. I check on my kids and receive calls, pictures, and visits often but still cannot follow each and everyone. I microchip and leave them in my name and have never had a call from a shelter but that may mean nothing. After doing this one rescue my eyes have been opened even further and some of my naiveness is gone for sure. I was wrong to assume that a member of a kennel club, exhibiting top quality dogs, and being a member on a rescue themselves(some of the large number of dogs had been rescued from bad situations only to end up in the same if not worse) meant something, when in fact it meant nothing. I am thankful to the member of the kennel club that exposed all of this to other kennel clubs up here and reached out for all the help she could find. Without her (Peg) these poor babies would still be in a shed that just got heat, living on chicken wire in rabbit cages, and standing in who knows what, matted, and neglected to this day. So thank you Peg. Thank you Kerrianne and Cathy, and Thank you to the fosters who will help to get you into your furever homes, and thank you Silky, Satin, Lace, BooBoo, Sir, and Torpedo for staying sweet loving creatures even after the terrible things were done to you.

| So glad to see it all worked out! Kudos to everyone involved, from start to finish and all in between! Kerri and Cathy from Yorkies, Inc. are simply wonderful for being able to pull it all together. As Y911R grows into a more established rescue with more out of NY state foster homes and out of NY state transport volunteers we will gladly be able to help more Fur Babies in need! Kerri and Cathy, I wanted to also tell you in my quest on Friday to find additional rescue help for you, Shih Tzu & Furbaby Rescue wrote me back saying they have members in Massachusetts (not too far from Fitchburg) and they wanted me to tell you that if you ever need assistance to please contact them as they would love to help (if needed and they can). -Nicole |

| Vetting Update Hi Everyone: Just wanted to send an update on the pups...they are all doing well and so sweet.... The youngest male, 1 1/2 years old had a neuter and dental yesterday. The poor guy lost 21 teeth. Blood work was normal. The older male had his one remaining tooth pulled and a neuter. He is missing some bone in his jaw, blood work was normal. All the females went in for exams and will be spayed, if needed. According to the vet all of the females have had c-sections, some mulitply, and two may even be spayed but we are not certain about this. Two of them need to go an eye specialist one for a cataract and the other there is something going on with the eye, could be a corneal scratch. One female has what we think is a hernia, however the vet could not push it back in so we will know more once she is spayed. The females all had blood work done which was sent out (as it saves us some money) and we will get those results in the next couple days. All of them had heart worm tests too. They alsoall have ear mites (which we knew) and are on medicine for that... Yesterday's vet bill came to $636.00 and we have not done any spays or dentals on the females yet... nor have they seen the eye specialist. However, they are all worth it. Once I have more information I will post it. Thank you everyone for your support.

| Kerrie, Just wanted to let you know that I sent over my Christmas Donation through your website, I cant even imagine how happy these pups must be to finally be vetted and loved. I know Yorkiesinc will do everything possible to find them all wonderful forever homes where they will be truly loved forever and ever. I know you rely on donations and that with the economy the way it is , times must be tough getting all these little guys vetted. May you and Cathie have a very Merry Christmas, after all spreading love and sharing and giving is what its all about, Im sure helping these helpless little guys fills your hearts!! I encourage anyone who wants to donate to a shelter in lieu of purchasing a gift to help Yorkies Inc. They are a wonderful rescue who certainly stepped up to the plate when these little guys needed a home <3 Yorkies Inc. ~ Holiday Tree

| We also made a donation to Yorkies Inc to help defray the costs for these 6 yorkies. In addition to individual donations which are sometimes small as times are hard for many, I think it would be wonderful if the Vacationland Kennel Club took up a collection for these babies from their general membership. Every dollar counts.

| Vetting Update (eye specialist) and a Thanks!! Thank you both for your donations...every dollar does help as today our vet bill for the eye specialist was $595.64 with both needing follow up eye appointments. Both Lace and Silky went to the eye doctors today. Lace does have a cataract in her left eys and the beginning of one in her right. He felt she also likely has PRA as her retinas are not great. He gave us an antioxidant to see if if will help with her retinas and to bring her back in about 3-4 months. If the antioxidant appears to be helping, her retinas, then at that point we can look into cataract surgery. Sily has an ulcer that is healing in her eye and also a slight case of dry eye. She is on an antibiotic for th eulcer and cyclosporine drops for the dry eyes. He wants to see her back in two weeks. Both dogs were amazing at the vets...they are so good and sweet and know that everyone is only trying to help them. Lace had an electroretinogram where they put needles near the eye (the eye is numb, but she is awake) and she just stood there and never flinched. All dogs still have black gunk in their ears and need daily cleaning of the ears. Thank you everyone for your support....

| I saw all the babies on the YorkiesInc website and it really made me cry. I just still cant believe show breeders would be so cruel. They all look so sweet and I hope they find their forever homes soon.
