| Karen, I can see this as a two-fer! Not only to keep the little ones from getting out, it can double as a kind of e-collar for boo-boos! I wish they had been around when my boys were little! |

| The owner of Puppy Bumper's Co. claims there has never been an issue regarding the pillows being too warm for winter. They certainly can be stored in the freezer, however since dogs sweat through their paws it probably won't provide too much added coolness in high temperatures.

| I'd rather just fix the fence and watch my dog out playing than have him have to wear that. It doesn't look that comfortable and I would think it would restrict the freedom and fun. Imagine having to wear a big old thing around your neck like that when you are out having fun and just being a dog? I'd say fix the fence and let the dog play in the natural. And in warm climes, I would hate a dog to be stuck outside in something like that, collecting heat.

If I could fix my fence I would. I can't.

| Maybe you could use plexiglass along the fencing. If kept clean, it wouldn't really show and could allow your babies to play freely, without the need of yet more things people put on them. I do know that a dog will adjust and accept just about anything in the usual doggie spirit of compliance but also realize any animal is far less hampered, free and more natural sans accoutrements.

Is there any kind of appeal process with your HOA board? I would think they would want your dog to be safe and would allow this modification to your fence. Good luck with the move! | |

| Thank you for your concern however I'm very happy using the Puppy Bumpers when needed.

I think you are failing to take into account a huge population of dog owners who either cannot or will not alter "their" property. Leasers? Renters? HOA rules? What about visiting a dog park? a community pool like I have in my complex? "Fix Your Fence" just doesn't work in many many situations! Last weekend I went to a dog park and also visited the home of a friend. I could not call ahead and have those areas secured. THis weekend (like many...) I am working in the home of a client and will be bringing Sugar and Curri with me. Very nice home. Very secure ~ but my 4#ers can escape or possibly fall through a loft railing indoors. Safety, to me, is worth hampering doggie spirit for a short time. My dogs FOR SURE would rather be with me wearing Puppy Bumpers than home alone or with a pet sitter. Oh...Curri is getting spayed next Friday. She will wear the bumper instead of the "cone of shame" This is a for sale thread. Maybe Karen could start another one to ask opinions.

| These bumpers would have come in handy for me last summer. My vet lets us use his pool. He as a very nice privacy fence on the side facing the road and a wrought iron fence on the back side. There is a pool house at one end and the other end has the pool pump etc. Jada squeezed under the privacy fence twice while we were there!! He does have another fence around the entire property but his driveway leads to the highway and his security gate at the end of the driveway was open that day. I was so nervous the entire time we were there and I never took her back. If I had these puppy bumpers she would have been able to enjoy the day and so would mommy

| You know, my sister lives in an HOA (in an extremely expensive home) that only allows wrought iron fencing. She has big dogs, but I've often wondered how anyone could even own a little dog in her neighborhood. Trust me, no amount of ingenious plexi glass or chicken wire would get past her HOA! Of course the little ones have to be monitored at all times, but I think this would be an excellent solution to the problem!

| I plan to order one for my foster, Buster. Honestly, I have done everything I can to secure our fence and deck, including chicken wire, more slats, a special made gate, etc. However, Buster is an escape artist and can contort his body to get under the gate and probably other places too. He was turned into animal control for this very reason and has probably had many years of practice. We had a near heartbreak situation when he got out in January and we had the whole neighborhood looking for him for 3 hours. (Found in the woods 2 streets over and I know he did not know how to get back home) I go out with my pups and watch them carefully, but it would be nice if he could sunbath on our deck for a few minutes with my girls, while I am slightly distracted in the yard. Anyway, this product could be exactly what we need to keep him safe and selfishly, to keep me from having another near "heart attack."
