And in warm climes, I would hate a dog to be stuck outside in something like that, collecting heat.
The reason I started selling these is because I have a dilemma. I'm moving next month into a new house and the only kind of fence the community association allows is a wrought iron fence. These types of fences have a 4" standard space between the bars which my dogs may or may not be able to fit through (i don't want to risk it). I was going to put chicken wire around the circumference of the fence and then have very heavy bushes on the outside of the fence. The association does not allow chicken wire and I fear that the bushes alone will not keep my dogs safe. If I need to let them go potty for 10 minutes in the backyard, it's so easy to slip on the bumper and know they are safe. As far as comfort, Cooper could care less that he's wearing it. He plays ball and chases his toys wearing one.

If I could fix my fence I would. I can't.
