I think it's a cool idea and really could have come in handy last year. We went to my bf's sisters place and she has really wide banisters on the stairs. We were sure to block off the stairs with one of the x-pen sides, but Sophia slightly moved the x-pen, created a little hole, and ran up the stairs. Sophia saw me downstairs and almost jumped through through the wide banisters!!!! There was nothing I could do about bf sisters banisters, but using one of these is totally feasible and is definitely useful as a precaution when I go there!!!
Such a cool idea.
