Maybe you could use plexiglass along the fencing. If kept clean, it wouldn't really show and could allow your babies to play freely, without the need of yet more things people put on them. I do know that a dog will adjust and accept just about anything in the usual doggie spirit of compliance but also realize any animal is far less hampered, free and more natural sans accoutrements.
