I'm the kind of person that believes all dogs, no matter their size, should be treated equally. I don't think it's right to let a Yorkie bark, nip, attack feet, attack objects and/or people, but not let a Great Dane get away with it. I think that's why small dogs get such a bad rep. I DON'T think it's cute when a 4lb yorkie is barking it's head off like crazy at a larger dog, whereas I see a lot of people laugh it off and think it's hilarious. If people saw a Pit Bull doing that, I don't think they'd be laughing.

So to answer your question, if I owned a Great Dane, yes I would allow him to hump a STUFFED animal if he did it. But never another dog or a person or allow it to become a really bad habit.

Like I said, Jackson has ONE big teddy bear that he loves. He has NEVER once humped or tried to hump another dog, or a human, or a couch, or anything. It's just big fluffy teddy bears. He is not a dominant dog really at all so I don't think it's about dominance. He's neutered so I don't know if it's "sexual" or not. I think he just finds it fun. It's not an every day occurrence. I'd say it's a once a week type deal that makes him happy and wears him out... so why not? He's never done it in front of guests in the house, and like I said, I would NEVER allow him to hump another dog or a human.

Isn't it though ? That's one of my alltime fav pictures of Chanel - her eyes actually sparkle when her 'date' is over & she gets the biggest happy face..... I guess that's why Magilla has never been banned from the house

....I do discourage it when I have company....much as she'd love to show him off he goes into the basket UNDER other toys

I HAD to post this. It's 6 AM on a Saturday morning - I'm drinking coffee and searching my computer for my doggie porn. This is pathetic. BUT - so I don't sit here totally wasting my time - here is Chanel having a hissy fit cause I put her boyfriend in a basket.

He is NOT tall dark and handsome. He's short, dark and ugly but hey - he's been around the block more times to count, so he has experience (Chanel is his 3rd girlfriend that I know of)

but still - I do discourage her dating him. She's way too young for him....He's had LOTS of plastic Surgery and yet he still Won the Ugliest Toy Contest once. Not a great claim to fame.

1st pic - Her huge hissy fit - you can't tell but she did climb in and drag him out by his arm (She's the dominant - he's the submissive)

2nd pic - Well - I think you get the idea, The funny thing is he MUST be face up. There's something about that plastic nose......(note the perfect position)

ps - You have to open the last photo to see the full effect of her date - Now you tell me - Is that a happy face or WHAT ? (she did have a ciggy after but has since quit)

After reading this whole thread, I am sooo thankful that Nappy is happy to just hump the "air" once in a while, although AprilLove sometimes backs her hiney right up into his face and he does his best to resist her, LOL, and mommy would never allow it anyway

You guys are too funny! Your doggy porn is hilarious and Chanel definitely looks like the happiest little girl after her "date." I think I would be ok with Kaji having a "friend with benefits" rather than having Mr. Peepers make his frequent visits. Kaji never has a happy face like that. He literally has the most ashamed face I have ever seen and the poor boy walks around like he's been riding a horse for days. I'm starting to wish he was a humper.
