| As I sit hear watching my daughter's 12 year old and long ago neutered ShihTzu just humping away on my 7 month old baby girl, Hazel, and thinking about what a child molester he is, he's lovin it and so is she (in all her innocence she thinks he is trying to play with her), I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. After all the talk about tails on this forum over the last couple of days, it was so refreshing to read all your posts about a "different kind of tail". I will be chuckling all day about this one. |

| Well thank goodness by mom didn't "nip it in the bud" with me...of course I am cross-eyed, blind and have hairy hands..LMAO! My mother taught sex education so I don't get that upset with things that come natural...

When I read these threads, I always wonder , what if it were a Great Dane humping the arm of your sofa, would you still just ignore it? encourage it? snicker about it? I was raised on a farm where animals breeding was a common thing, but don't recall any of them every masturbating or humping other objects. That part is NOT natural, other than puppies playing. It is bad behavior just like any other bad behavior and CAN be corrected.

It would appear YOU think it is bad behavior and others think it might be natural... Also I have driven around this country for over 50 years and I have seen cows hump each other, horses hump each other and they are all neutered animals...these were not bulls or stallions...I do know the difference. I have also seen these animals just standing in the pasture with there manhood hanging to the ground..why is that? It is very clear this topic makes you very uncomfortable...but until you have a degree after your name in animal behavior I will continue to read from the experts with their opinions on this subject and my observation from having & living with dogs my entire life..

I just feel that when someone comes on here asking for advice, they should be told that it is not something that You HAVE to live with, it can be corrected. just like any other unwanted behavior. Now if you WANT the behavior, then fine with me. But maybe someone else does not want it. I have had many prospective buyers that DO NOT want a male puppy becuse they believe that all male dogs do this and nothing can be done to stop it. So I am giving these people another view point on it. Not everyone finds it amusing. Some people want to know how to stop it, they do not want to hear that your dog does it also and you should just let them do it. I will continue to tell people that it is bad behavior and can be corrected.

| Here we go again. Ok...one more time. NO you did not say it in those EXACT words. Here is what you said: [QUOTE=JeanieK]When I read these threads, I always wonder , what if it were a Great Dane humping the arm of your sofa, would you still just ignore it? encourage it? snicker about it? [/QUOTE} It is an insinuation you made. I have been through this topic with you before and I am quite finished. It is a waste of my time.

You deem it is bad behavior...who says it is bad...they used to feel that way in humans... I get it, not everyone is comfortable with it because America can't deal with sex but saying it is bad does not mean it is so. They used to feel the say way about sex 100 years ago and it should only be done to have children...hmmm

People coming here for advice need to be told that they do not have to just live with it. It can be corrected, and very easily. If one has to be a certified expert to give advice on here, that would leave out 99.9% of us. Lets see every ones degrees in animal behavior.
