Tena was asking for a sign and I think she got it this afternoon. However, please keep praying and sending good thoughts that they will sign the papers and release him to go to the new facility.

Good for you Tena for insisting that he be moved to a facility that will help him recover properly!

Prayers are answered once again....Pat is transferring to UVA this morning at 7:15! It about a 4 hours trip, keep the prayers coming and no set back occurs.

I was a up at 3:00 AM but forced myself to hold off until 4:00 to make sure his night was well and we are a go. Nurse said he had a good night and is already to go.

Jumping in the shower and heading out of here at 6:00 so I can be there when he arrives. I'm going to stay the night and possibly tomorrow night depending on how the transfer goes. I know he needs to open his eyes and see me, it will help him stay more grounded to the environmental change and surroundings, I'm sure.

Thank you all for your prayers and keeping us in your thoughts.

Pat's transfer was uneventful and he seems to be having no decline this this time. I'm so pleased with the UVA facility. At least with having to leave him and not return for a few days due to the distance and I work a full time job, I feel secure he is getting excellent care and it's means the world to me. It's so hard to not get to go to Pat everyday, destroys me. I know at telecast for now, there's simply no other way and it's the best care for him. :(

Tena, I can imagine how hard this is for you to not be able to visit daily. Praying for your comfort and strength.

Very happy to hear Pat is now in an advanced facility with excellent care. I am continuing to pray for both of you.
