The pneumatic booties, they also have pneumatics for the lower legs, inflate periodically and then deflate. They keep that blood moving from his lower extremities back up towards his torso. Moving blood is less likely to clot. It sounds like they have that on his legs now, so that's good. We're going to keep praying. | |

| Today, seemed to be a better day for Mike. His kidney function has improved a little and his sodium has come up, that is what they wanted. He spent all day and all night with a very upset belly. They said, every 2 minutes until 3am he vomited. Or at least tried to. I do not know what that was all about. 14 hrs of vomiting and dry heaves is bad. Poor baby. He said he was sore in his chest. I Bet he was. The nurse said they could not give him anything because it was reversing the kidney function test. Well at least that was better, this evening. Mike is aware of all of the prayers and thoughts sent his way. I tell him every day. I am so thankful, for every ones prayers. I will continue to update everyone as I get any info. Thanks so much .

| Today, was a better day for Mike. His kidney function is back to almost normal. The staph infection is about gone. He was having a problem with his heart beat ( a fib ) That has now returned to normal. And They now have taken him out of the Critical Care Unit and are waiting for a room to come open so he can now be in a regular room. They need to do a sono to see if his belly is filling back up with fluid, and if so they will have to drain him again. Mike still has a long road ahead of him, but that bump is now behind him. Thank you all so much for all of the prayers and thoughts. I will keep you all updated as he progresses. Thanks so much.

| Today was a better day for Mike. Romeo, his best buddy in the world, was able to visit him in the hospital. Boy! that made there day. I was surprised that they allowed dogs in the C.C unit. It was so cute when Romeo finally figured out what was going on. He could not wait to get out of my arms. He rubbed up and down Mikes body. He would stop ,pant for a minute and start rubbing again. It was so cute it brought tears to your eyes. Mike seams to be getting all of the problems under control, kidneys are back working again, staph infection is gone. They had to drain 5 liters of fluid off his belly today. Now they are talking about taking him to George Washington Hospital by the White House in D.C. to have a drain put in his neck, to his liver to stop the fluid from collecting in his belly. ( Tips ) I have looked into this and asked his Dr about having this done before and he was not sure if Mike would do good with it. The Doctor he is seeing at the hospital now, seems to think he will be best off having it done.He is being moved out of CCU sometime late tonight to a regular room. I can only pray that if they do the tips procedure that that would give Mike more time with Me and all of his pups and friends and family. Thanks again for keeping him in your prayers. You all are the best.
