So glad you posted! You and Mike keep running across my mind (both of you must be tired - bad joke). Sorry to hear he is having BP issues and fluid hydration issues. I, like you, was hoping the hospitalization would have stabilized some issues but unfortunately he did not have an easy time there, either. We are still remembering both of you in prayer. When I used to work in hospitals, I always thought we should give out medals of honor for pts who are so brave and stoic when dealing with some not so nice illnesses. I think Mike qualifies for one! I'm sure he would say your support is the reason. We will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers.

Today I got a phone call from the Dr. Office that Mike needed to go to the ER as soon a possible, because his blood work was off again. Within 1 hour he was admitted to the ccu. They said his kidneys are in failure again and the fluid in his belly is infected again. They told me that he is in Grave condition. It can go either way and he is very sick. I have a appointment for him to go to Johns Hopkins Hospital in June. I pray he can get though this again so we can see the liver doctor at Hopkins. Mike can use all of those prayers again, it worked so well the last time. Thank you all so much.

Sorry to hear Mike is in the CCU. I think it was a wonderful idea to get him to Johns Hopkins. We will keep him in our prayers. Thanks for keeping in touch.

Just remembered, you might want to ask for the nursing/medical staff to order pneumatic booties for him to wear to help prevent blood clot again (they may already have these on him).

You are in my thoughts and prayers. It is very difficult to have a sick husband and taking care of him. Praying that God will give the doctors the knowledge to take care of him.

Thank you very much for the info. I remembered the same thing about 5pm this evening. I said to the nurse and 2 of his doctors and they put something on his legs that move the legs. Is that what you are talking about?

Update on Mike, The Doctors did say his kidney function test went from 6.4 to 4.1 then now 4.6, what ever that means. They changed his condition from extra grave to grave. That is a bit of good news. He was in septic shock his hands were so cold and so clammy.So they added another bag of meds to his iv dispenser. They also took out the plerex cath. they had to put in the last time he was in the hospital in April. Thank you all very much again.I will keep you posted as he progresses.( I hope ) Brenda and Mike. I am telling his about his well wishes and prayers
