You certainly are Mike's guardian angel! It is a good thing someone is thinking about all the angles of Mike's health care. Bless both you and Mike as you jump the health care hurdles. Sending prayers that what is best for Mike's recovery happens and all obstacles to his improved health and well being dissolve. Sending hugs and big pats on the back to you Brenda for being strong. I hope all those issues get straightened out and Mike can safely go to rehab. Thank God Mike has you to stay on top if his health concerns. I will keep you both in my prayers.

Hello everyone. I am sorry I have not updated you all on Mike in a while. I wish I had something new to tell you but I do not. Except he has been in the for almost 4 weeks now (TUE) They did transfer him to Georgetown Univ. Hospital in Washington D.C. He is on the liver transplant floor. The hospital he was in, in Annapolis for 3 weeks did not know what to do with him, because he needed to be drained each week, no rehabs, would not take him because they said if he were to stay there, and they had to have him drained it would cost them to much money so they would not accept him. I could not believe they said that. The hospital called all of the rehabs within the 60 mile radius of the hospital and all said the same thing. They wanted to send him home but We did not have a way for him to get into the house, because we did not have a H.C. Ramp. My son looked around and asked a few people if they knew anyone that could build a H.C. Ramp and I would pay to have one installed. Well, someone we did not even know volunteered there time to build the ramp. He would not take any money at all. I could not belive it. This guy does not even know me. He said he would build it as long as when Mike gets out of the hospital and is well enough to go out that we go to his church. I said that's a deal.He started the ramp yesterday with my son assisting him and he will finished today. It is a long trip to Georgetown Hospital it is about 1 and a half hours each way. So I try to get there but sometimes I miss a day and just call him. They are assessing him to see if he is a candidate for the TIPS procedure or a liver transplant. I do not know anything yet except they want to try using meds to keep the fluid from building, but they already did that. At the other hospital. Oh Well, this is a liver specality hospital. I hope they can do something to help Mike. Again thank all of you for all of the thoughts and prayers.I will keep you updated. Please continue to pray for Mike as he goes though all of the test. So glad to hear Mike has you as his advocate. It is also good to hear he got to Georgetown. They are a wonderful hospital, it is a shame they are so far for you. Will continue to keep Mike in our prayers.

I too am continuing prayers that Mike is able to get some help and feel better.

Hang in there, I know the stress is taking a toll on you. The frustration of dealing with illness and all the bureaucratic drama with medical facilities is almost more than most can handle.

My prayers are with you and Mike. My husband is going through some less serious health issues and I know how hard it is for me. God Bless You and Mike I know this takes a lot of strength and love to deal with his health problems. Hopefully they can find a answer to his health problems and you and he will be home together soon. God knew you needed a prayer answered when he sent someone to take care of your need for a ramp.
