He went to Georgetown University Hospital about 9 days ago. He went to the clinic for people needing a liver, to see if he can be put on the transplant list. Mike was not sure what he was going to find out, from the doctor. The doctor said come back in 4 months and if you are walking better and if all is well, still with his blood work, then he will then see about putting him on the list. Mike is doing pretty good. Romeo is loving the time he gets to spend with Mike and sleeps with him all day and night. He will not stay in the room with me . Mike has a hospital bed in the living room. That is where Romeo wants to stay. I wanted you all to know how Mike is coming along and thank you all for the prayers that has helped Mike progress the way he has. Thank you so much for asking. It is funny you ask, I was just getting on here, after a very long time. I, at times, get on here and get my fix, of YT. not posting and getting back off. Mike is doing pretty good. He is progressing well as far as the liver issue. He has been going back and forth to George Town in Washington D.C. He has been seeing the transplant Docs there. He had to get drained again on Tuesday and Thursday he had an upper endoscopy with banding of any varices. Thank goodness he did not have any that they wanted to band because they were small. They are like varicose veins in the esophagus. If he had any they can again rupture and he could bleed very bad. That is what happened about 5 years ago, when this all started. At his last visit ,at Georgetown, They said he is Stable. Thank goodness. His labs are still in the normal range, so he can not be put on the transplant list. Now the newest issue Mike is having is, He is in stage 5 kidney failure. Because of the medication he needs to take to try to keep the fluid from building up is again damaging his kidneys. I had no idea he was listed as having kidney failure until his draining on Tuesday and they gave me his discharge papers and it was listed on the papers. I thought I was going to get sick. I did not and will not let Mike know about this. I thought to myself, I have to get on Yorkie Talk and ask for prayers for Mike. I know Mike is where he is now because of all of the prayers from friends and most importantly yorkie talk. He needs all of the prayers he can get. I am hoping his kidney function improves now that the Doctor has taken Mike off of some of the meds that has caused this. I will here from his Dr next week. Mike is feeling pretty good , he wanted to go for a ride today so we spent the day out riding around. We went to Dover Delaware and went to Dinner. He said he really enjoyed spending the day with me. Bless his heart. He is going 3 times a week to PT and doing good with that. He is walking with a walker and making two trips around the clinic at PT. He is come a long way since my last post. It has been pretty busy around here with Mike . I am sorry I have not posted in a while, but I will keep you updated. Thanks again and enjoy your summer.

Oh Brenda, I am so glad you have posted an update on Mike. I am glad that Mike seems to be stable at this point in time. I am sorry that the medications are starting to affect his Kidney's. I pray as well that since they are taking him off some the medications that his kidneys will improve.
So happy to hear his PT is going good and he is using a walker and doing well with that.
Oh I just know you both enjoyed the long drive around and going to Dover to have dinner. That sounds like so much fun for you both.

I will certainly continue my prayers for Mike and you as well.
