| Mike was doing well and was looking forward to coming home today. Easter) The Plan was to have him come home today, then go back Tuesday or Wednesday of next week to have the drain put in. Well, about 3:45 am this morning I got a call from the hospital Doctor. She informed me that Mike woke up around 12ish with pain in his chest and legs. They were doing tests on him to rule out heart problems. They did say that he had a blood clot that came from his leg and went to his heart. He was at that time resting well. The pain had stopped and they were still doing more tests. I was sick with fear. They did not know if there were any more waiting. They put him on blood thinners and morphine. I was so upset I was awake the rest of the night. I am angry about the whole thing, because In the beginning, last Thursday I told every Doctor that Mike was at risk of getting blood clots. I told every Nurse, tech, about this . About 27 years ago I almost lost him due to Phlebitis. He was in the hospital for surgery and he got Phlebitis and spent an extra 31 days in the hospital. So I make a point of telling them if he is admitted to the hospital. I bet, I told every doctor, tech and nurse at least 2 times if not 3 times. They took no precautions at all. I was so upset this morning mostly because Mike was not doing well and also because with me telling them every day they did nothing. I said to the Doctor ,I told you at least twice and every one working with Mike and he should not be going though this right now.She said she saw the notes that I said something and she did remember but she was so sorry it was not done. I went to see him twice today and he was very sleepy and concerned. Please, keep him in your prayers. he and I really appreciate it.Thank you all so much. And Happy Easter

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Mike is lucky to have you for his advocate. In some hospitals and nursing homes the staff is so busy (or sometimes so lazy) that patients can be neglected. It's pretty sad, but everyone in the hospital needs someone to constantly check on what's being done (or not done) for the patient. I understand your desire NOT to have him go to a rehab place when you are able (and willing) to care for him. I hope with your help Mike can get feeling better and get home soon. |

| I am so sorry to hear Mike had a blood clot and a set back. It was also terrible that you told how many caretakers of his condition, and noone took precautions - absolutely terrible! My husband and I will continue to pray. Please, if you can, keep in touch and let us know how he is progressing. |

| I will keep you and Mike in my prayers. I hope as each day passes that he gets better and is able to come home. You are a very loving and giving wife to care for him at home. I will pray that God will give you the strength to continue on.

| Hello to all from Mike and I. Mike is still in the hospital. Tuesday Mike gets his drain put in so I can drain the fluid from his belly area. It is to make him feel more comfortable. Today he had a large group of Doctors coming in and out all day. Each one had to tell me over and over again how this is life threating.I am very much aware of that. They did a echo to see if they could find a clot in his heart. There as not. Thank goodness. The doctor wanted to stop the heparin because with all of Mikes medical problems he does not need to have a GI bleed. I agree. I am so worried for him. I think before stopping it they are going to have a hematologist come in and give his opinon. They say the risk is higher of a gi bleed them the clot at this point. Like I told the doctors today we would not of been going here if someone woud of listened to me. I pray that Mike has no problem with the drain being placed tomorrow. I will keep you all updated. Thanks for the prayers.

| Mike is very lucky to have you loving, protecting, and advocating for him. My husband has spent approximately a year in the hospital if you count up all of the days spanning a 35 year period. Although there are many dedicated people there, it's sad how much it is necessary for someone to be there overseeing the care. I shudder to think about what happens to the people who don't have family or friends to look after them. You and Mike continue to be in my prayers. My best wishes for his improved health and for improved physical and mental well-being for both of you. |

| UPDATE On Mike, Mike came home from the hospital today. He seems to be felling better. The Doctors are going to be following him very closely. He is so happy to be home, the pups are as well. I am so happy to have him home, as well. Romeo has been having a very hard time with out his Daddy being here, for the last 2 weeks. I was getting ready to take him to the Dr yesterday because he just did not want to eat at all . He was like that off and on for the past 2 weeks but he usually would give in and eat something after I got home from the hospital. I called the vet to make a appointment yesterday, because he was acting sick. I got Mike to talk to him on the speaker phone and he came around. I took him for a walk and he was alright. He spends all of his time with Mike and never leaves his side. Mike will have P.T. starting Friday and a nurse will be coming Friday as well. We want to thank everyone very much for all of the well wishes and prayers.

| I am glad to hear that Mike is home now. I am so sorry you and he had to go throught the additional issue with the blood clot. He is lucky to have you looking out for him, many people hear but do not listen. I am sure he will recover now that he is home with you and his fur caretakers. I am sure the healing licks and cuddles will work wonders for him. Best wishes to you all and for Mike's continued improvement.
