Michelle went to the doctor today and they have admitted her again. Her head is leaking spinal fluid and sadly the doctors are preparing her for another surgery. They have scheduled a mri for later. Michelle is out of surgery and doing okay. David spoke with the surgeon and the surgeon said they did find the leak. The surgeon said they raised Michelle's blood pressure and using some kind of instrument they were able to find and repair the leak. The doctor did say he had to remove more of her skull in order to repair the leak properly. Michelle also has another spinal lumbar drain in her back. David feels very confident with this doctor. This doctor also told David that he will be personally seeing Michelle everyday until she is released. David seems to think that Michelle will be in there at least a week. I am praying that this will be the last surgery for awhile. The surgeon told David that Michelle will need time to heal and get over this last surgery before they will even think about doing the next one. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Barbara, I am so glad to hear about Michelle's new surgeon, and that so much was accomplished with this surgery. I am praying that she will now have time to rest and heal, and that there will be no further leakage. May God continue to give her strength to endure all of this. What a loving husband he has already provided her. I wish there was more that I can do, but I know that prayers are very powerful.

It is so important to have the right DR and sometimes its so hard to get the right DR. sounds like this Dr is a godsend for her.

I haven't been in the forums much these days, but I have been thinking of Michelle and praying that this arduous ordeal is resolved for her soon. Hugs around my friend.

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and well wishes. Michelle was in horrible pain for a couple of days after this last surgery. Her head is feeling better but she is in horrible pain because of the lumbar spinal drain in her back. The drain has been shut off since yesterday so the doctors can see if the spinal fluid will start building in her head again. Michelle is hoping they will completely remove the line today so her pain will ease. I am praying that her head does not start leaking again. It might take a week or so before we really know if the problem is fixed.

I've been watching this thread and praying for Michelle. I hope that this doctor has been a help to her. Those tears can be very painful when spinal fluid leaks. Poor woman. I'll pray that Michelle heals from this quickly and has some time to rest and revive before they do the next surgery.

I hope the doctor was able to remove the drain so she can get

Thank you all. Sadly, Michelle is having a bad day today. Her head is starting to swell a little and the doctor fears that it might be from the spinal fluid building up. She was hoping they could remove the line in her back but under these circumstances it does not look like that will happen today. Michelle can hardly eat anything and she continues to feel weak and nauseous. Extra prayers would be so much appreciated. I am praying the swelling is not from spinal fluid because if it is the doctor said they would have to put a permanent shunt in to keep the spinal fluid from building up.
