| Barbara, I'm sorry your family is under so much stress with the wondering when will this finally end....I hope and pray Michelle is through the worst and from here on out every day is a day towards healing. These past months have certainly put her strength to the test...... May our Lord God bless her and protect her each day......

| Georgia, I too believe in the power of pray. Michelle says over and over again that she would have never made it through all this without all the prayers of the church, her family and yorkie friends. One should never give up praying. It is wonderful that God answered your prayers and you finally found your son. I had a wonderful visit with Michelle on Sunday. She is having a hard time with her IV line, she says she feels like a pin cushion, so today they were supposed to put a pic line in her neck but so far it has not been done. Michelle still has a big knot on the back of her head that the doctors are a little concerned about. The doctors are not in agreement as to if Michelle can go home in a few days or not. This morning one of the doctors told Michelle they will send her home in a few days with the iv fluids but this afternoon the surgeon said he was still concerned about the knot on her head and he was not wanting to send her home so soon. It looks like she will be on the iv antibiotics for a couple more weeks. Michelle was in good spirits today. She is still having some pain but nothing like she has experienced before. Yesterday she had gone for a walk and when she came back to her room and pulled the curtain back she caught a lady from the cafeteria red handed going through her purse that was in the closet. Needless to say, Michelle reported her. It is so sad that people do things like that. I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and well wishes. May God bless all of you for your kindness. |

| I am sooooo sorry for what all of you have been going through & the battle ahead. I just saw the thread & read what you, your daughter & family have & continue to go through. I can only say that all of you are in our prayers. My heart aches for you not to be able to be with her. I know that is torment for both of you. I dread my next surgery as being selfish. You see my mother & I never had a surgery (we have had a lot) that the other was not there. I lost my mother last yr to lung cancer & my dad 3 yrs prior to pancreatic cancer. I do have a wonderful dh & children for support. Know in your heart that God gives us nothing we cannot overcome. I will pray not just her full recovery but also the strength needed when faith is so tested. God Bless All Of You!

Michelle got to go home last night. The doctors say she is free of infection and they think the knot on her head will go down so we will just have to pray that it will. She will just take oral antibiotics at home. Thanks to everyone for all you prayers. Hopefully things will start looking better. I certainly know Michelle does not need anymore setbacks. | |

| How is Michelle doing? I am so glad she was released from the hospital. Praying the knot continues to dissipate. She will be blessed for her faith in God.

| Michelle is doing about the same. She still has the knot on the back of her head and she said it feels really hard. She is just praying that it will start going away. She is not in a lot of pain but her neck is still stiff. Michelle will go back to the doctor on Friday. She has just been taking it easy at home. She went to the church Halloween party on Friday for a little while and today she went to church. We just have to keep praying for the best. I really appreciate all your continuing prayers. I will be sure to keep you all updated if there are any changes. |

It sure is times like these that make you prioritize the important things in life! Take care.. and sure am hoping she continues to do well! Cheryl & Mandy

| Michelle went to the doctor today and they have admitted her again. Her head is leaking spinal fluid and sadly the doctors are preparing her for another surgery. They have scheduled a mri for later. Hopefully they will do the surgery late tonight or in the morning. Michelle has a new team of doctors from M.D. Anderson and Methodist Hospitals. This new surgeon seems to know how to fix the problem so I am just praying that he will. This will be Michelle's 4th surgery. The first surgery they removed half of the brain tumor and the other surgeries have been to repair the leaking of spinal fluid coming through the incision on her head. There is a lining in the head between the skull and the brain and apparently there is a small leak somewhere in the lining. Your continued prayer are so greatly appreciated. |
