Prayers continue to go out to Michelle & her family. Praise God she has power again. And I am praising God for her strength thru so many difficult mths. She has incredible endurance. Thank the Lord that Shawn is ok now. Hopefully, the doctors will be able to control these seizures in the future. So glad David was there and Michelle wasn't alone to deal with all of this. May there be angels surrounding them and protecting them all

Well, just when things were looking better, Michelle has had another setback. Over the weekend her head started swelling and leaking spinal fluid again. Monday they admitted her back into the hospital. Last night they did a spinal tap on Michelle and put in a drain line to drain some of the spinal fluid in hopes of reducing some of the pressure on her head. She is in lots of pain now and we do not know what lies ahead. Hopefully we will know soon if another surgery will be required. This is so heart breaking. Your continued prayers would be so much appreciated. I will update as soon as I know more information.

We are sending up prayers for her.
Have you ever gone on the Brain Talk forum? Sometimes its nice to meet/talk to others who have gone thru this or are going thru this now.
I joined when I was diagnosed with Hydro.

You are all in my prayers. I live in Deer park so if you need anything just hollar!

Can I make a suggestion? Check with Methodist. I know that Texas Childrens wil treat Children without insurance even if they don't qualify for Medicaid. These hospitals donate a lot of care so please try. Ben Taub is the place to go if you are shot or stabbed but not for this type of treatment. Trust me. So please make some calls. I would try Baylor hospitals first.

Thank you Danielle. Michelle and her husband have checked around and everyone tells them that Ben Taub has some of the finest brain and head trauma surgeons around. Michelle still has a drain line in her spine. The doctors are hoping that by letting some of the spinal fluid drain it will relieve some of the pressure from her head and give the head time to heal. She is on two very strong iv antibiotics. Michelle is still in pain but not near as bad as she was a couple of days ago. We are just praying that her head will heal and she will not need another surgery to repair a leak.

Thank you all for your prayers, they mean so much to us and we know they are working.

We found out today that Michelle has spinal meningitis staphylococcal. She has had a really bad day today. The doctors now have her on the right antibiotics and we are praying that she will start improving soon. All your prayers are so much appreciated.

Barbara, You & Michelle remain in my prayers. I am so sorry she is continuing to face so many issues. Praise God that they have diagnosed what is currently going on and can treat her appropriately. I will be praying for her continued healing.
