YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I'm so very sorry. Call that vet and explain about Sentinel pill given on Monday. Right now don't panic too much, get the tests done that need doing. We are here for you and your pup. (((((((Hugs)))))

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It didn't "develop" on Tuesday...dogs and puppies can go without symptoms. Sometimes reactions are seen to medications and vaccines which point to LS...because these are processed through the liver.

| I'm so sorry about Max! I hope everything works out with him and it's just a reaction to something! I really hope it isn't Liver Shunts. But, just remember, that when you adopted him you promised to love him his whole life. Do what you can for him and I'll keep sending good thoughts your way. I'm so sorry about all of this! He should be healthy and your breeder needs to stand up and adress the problem!

| Me too! I've never given Sentinel, but when I first adopted Brody when he was old enough for flea meds I used K-9 Advantix and the first time I used it he became lethargic and that was the last time I ever used it.

| The vet does not believe it is a Sentinel reaction. I'm in total panic mode but trying to remain calm. The vet's bedside manner isn't so great and he really led me to believe that it's LS.

| I hate to suggest this since it is more money, but could you get another opinion?

| I certainly hope and pray that it isn't LS, but the breeder does need to work with you on finding out what is going on. She should be informed of the test results, and should WANT to be informed if it might have be anything to do with her breeding dogs. |

| i've only received a very basic opinion. the blood work won't lie. We are hoping it's something in the regular blood work that shows. If that is fine then we will have to do the bile acid test tomorrow morning.

i will have to wait for some results first thing tomorrow morning. But, I really don't know what else it could be. The vet said he's hoping still hypoglycemia but the nutrical doesn't do much. He said maybe too much sugar? He didn't want to give really any opinion without further evidence.

How long will it take to get the initial blood work back? I hate seeing you worry.

| It also says this on their webpage: Dogs must be tested for heartworm prior to use. In a small percentage of treated dogs, digestive, neurologic and skin side effects may occur. Please see full product insert for more information. Weakness in hindlegs is not usually a symptom of LS, nor is that type of head movement... Call the vet asap!!
