| ![]() Izzy is sick again...sigh. I just don't know what happened this time. He hasn't eaten in two days. I've been feeding him his treats and that's all he's eaten. He threw up Monday then stopped eating after that. He's not himself, kind of slow and lethargic. He has been drinking water though... Today when I took him for a walk, he tried eating grass. I hear they do this when their stomach is upset. I am taking him to the vet but I cant go until Friday. Any suggestions on what I can do in the meantime?

| ![]() Make sure he continues to drink water until you can get to the vet. I know that dehydration is a major concern. Did he start throwing up after eating the grass or before? Grass makes Rosie throw up every time. Have you tried to feed him boiled chicken? Sorry, just throwing out some suggestions. I hope he gets to feeling better. Please keep us posted.

| ![]() Sorry. . . lol. I am a semi vegetarian myself. I would rather have the veggies than the meat. Poor baby. Has he had any thing unusual that would upset his tummy? Rosie ate some table food one time and started throwing up and diarrhea. Maybe it was something he ate? I really think the best thing is to go to the vet like you are planning. Just keep the fluids in him. He should be okay I think. Can you call your vet maybe to get some advice?

| ![]() Good luck with Izzy, I hope she is feeling well soon. The boiled chicken will hopefully get her eating and help.

| ![]() What are you feeding her and has she pooped? Try baby food (with meat), Hallo makes a very good can dog food all my dogs love it. When mine get real picky over here in Calif. we have chicken fast food place call "Pollo Loco" I buy a peace of chicken breast shredded mix it in their can food and put some big chucks on top for them to smell and have a good taste. I'll try anything when they do not want to eat it is very scary when their sugar goes down and they go into a coma, I went through that with Buffy once when she was a puppy. The other day my sister's old maltese did not want to eat and I got some smoked sausage cut 2 peaces then cut those up into real small ones put in the micro wave to cook and mixed it with her regular can dog food with the grease and all. I fed her some with my hand to make her taste it and after that she ate everything. If they still do not eat they go to the vets or ER ASAP.... I just went threw this 2 days ago with my Duncan he was constipated but I did not know what was wrong with him because even his anus was swollen and did not eat all day or even bark once, so by 4:00 that day we were at the vets waiting for a cancellation or when ever the vet could see us. I do understand she might have something going on with her stomach but to let her go on like this for days is not good, and by now she should have pass what every was up setting her stomach unless she has a blockage. I hope she is feeling better soon.

| ![]() When Yorkies aren't feeling well, offering them a bland diet (chicken and rice) is the way to go as anything too rich could cause Pancreatitis, which many are prone to getting. That's boiled chicken, no fat or grease, and plain, white rice. Brown or long grain rices can be too hard to digest. Chicken baby food ( Gerber's Stage 2) may entice them to eat too, and is a good alternative to boiled chicken. Sometimes a teaspoon or two of plain canned pumpkin can help get things moving if they haven't had a poop in a day or two, and some like green beans, which can also help move things along.
