| ![]() I'm so glad to hear Bella is home. That poor baby! Please give her a gentle hug and kiss from us. Keep after those neighbors....the least they should do is pay your Vet bills. |

| ![]() Yes I do love the growling at the cat part,....But that Office cat out weighted her by about 10lbs and could probably kick her butt. She is all of about 4.25 soaking wet. ![]() |

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | ![]() So glad for the update & happy she is home now! I'm sorry you & your poor little girl had this traumatic experience. It sounds like the neighbor with 5 dogs just isn't aware of what her dogs are doing or doesn't even care to be a responsible owner. I'm sad this also happened to another yorkie neighbor, but hopefully the neighbor with the 5 dogs will now get the message & be afraid to continue as she has. Hugs to you & yr sweet angel! ![]()

| ![]() They are not suppose to have 5 dogs in our neighborhood, our HOA says you can't. They are definately not in code here. Certainly are controling them if they did this to my baby and bit the lip on my next door neighbors yorkie also. I have two neighbors who can see right in their backyard from their 2 story homes and can see they have 4 mini-pinchers and one othe white dog. I just wish I knew what the legal way to handle this would be. |

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | ![]() I would try all angles....Animal Control, HOA...let them know what happened. See what they have to say first. Unfortunately, my step daughter's yorkie was severely hurt & had to have major surgery. They were in their own yard. The other dog came into their yard & attacked (a large dog). It was a battle in small claims court. She did have witnesses. Other dogs had also been attacked, just like your story. The other owner had to pay vet bills....but it was a major struggle. She drug out having to make the paymts. Long battle! ![]()

| ![]() In my life I have fought many battles for what is important to me. Bella is not just property or a dog to me. She is part of our family. It's not about the money, I'll get the money. It's about doing right and honorable thing! It's about protecting others from an out of control pack of canines and they tasted blood, I fear their vicious nature will only increase. I will not rest until I get a response from these people and they have done their part. I have my neighbor whose dog was also injured by this pack to witness how ferocious their behavior is at the fence. I can do my part on my side of fence and have made arrangements to do what I can. However they must also takes steps to ensure no one dog is injured by their pack. What if my grandchild stuck her hand through the crack! ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know my options legally but if any of you would have seen Poor Bella's leg you would understand my determination to see this through. It's the right thing to do, They should be responsible. I will post pictures of Bella shortly with her cast and her injury. I want everyone to remember, just because out babies are in our own yards they are not always safe. An innocent pawing at the fence can have a devastating impact. Watch your babies, be aware of who and whats behind you. She's never out of my sight again. Thank you all for the support, sometimes you just have to stop and go where you know someone will tell what need to here. Go to the hospital! I nearly made a mistake thinking that this slight bleeding would stop. It never did. Bella probably would have not made it through the night. You see, I cleaned the wound and wrapped it tight, but the bleeding continued. So from the time of the accident, there were 2 blankets with blood on them and the whole front of my shirt and even on my bra. To be blunt, she was slowing bleeding to death. Lesson learned, If it doesn't stop immediately, there is a problem. Please watch for Bella's pictures, I'm taking them now and will download them soon. I will also post pictures of Bella as she heals. The scars are going to bad, I'm prepared for that. The healing will be long because of the open wounds. PRAY FOR BELLA, and I'll take a few of those prayers also! All of our gratitude, Pam, Bella, Shyloh, Bryce, and Daddy ![]() Last edited by PamBellaJagShy; 08-17-2008 at 08:02 AM. |

| ![]() I'll pray for you and Bella. Glad she is recovering. I have a feeling there won't be any scars as the way they do things now, everything is so clean, but it's more important that she is alive and will be ok. My precious 17 month old, Brady, had surgery for luxating patella a month ago and there is no sign of where the incision was. It is amazing. I learned the hard way about not taking them to the vet immediately. Our Yorkie before this one was 13 and had congestive heart failure and collapsed trachea and would cough and wheez which made my heart ache for him. That last time he was wheezing badly on a Friday and I thought it wasn't worse than usual but by Sunday he was really bad and had to take him to the emergency clinic. They put him in an oxygen tent and gave him meds but the vet said it was better to let him go. I held him while she gave him the shot and it was very peaceful but I felt so guilty. My vet said it wasn't my fault and that it was only a matter of time for him because he had been sick for about 3 years. So-00000 no hesitation -- if in doubt take him/her to the vet immediately. | ![]() First, I am SO sorry this happened to Bella ![]() I'd take this up with animal control and the HOA. They're in violation and should be held accountable for your baby's injuries. They'd be coughing up the $$ for her medical bills or they'd be sued. I hope she's much better today.

| ![]() We went today to have the bandages changed, They had to tranquilize Bella because the pain of just removing the bandages was so severe. I cried so hard and my heart hurt like I can't explain. My poor baby, I have to go back in 2 days to have them changed again. This is so severe the vet has to do the bandage changes every 2 days. I'll post pictures, if I can sometimes my pics won't download. If you have a weak stomach don't look......Its bad! |

| ![]() I am so sorry for what happened to your Bella. It's such a shame that you can't allow you precious baby to be safe in her own yard. Thanks to you and your determination Bella is alive. What you did was just amazing. I am sorry your handicapped but you sure did what was needed, getting Bella to the vet's. Those dogs sound vicious. I hope you get the much needed help from the local PD and the HOA so you and your neighbor's can feel safe and be safe. Prayer's coming for Bella that her pain subsides soon and she heals nicely. Poor little girl. I won't view the pictures, no stomach for those things. Give her a hug from us, |

| ![]() One of the above posters suggested baby tylenol. PLEASE DON'T EVER GIVE TYLENOL TO A DOG. IT CAN CAUSE LIVER AND KIDNEY DAMAGE AND EVEN DEATH |
