I hope that you can resolve this and that your neighbor will do the right thing and pay for the medical bills. So sorry that you and poor little Bella are going thru this. I am sending prayers that she will heal quickly. Hugs.

Thanks again for all the posts.....if you saw the pictures in my album you can see we have a long road ahead of us. She was hurt really bad.....I am glad she didn't lose her leg. We hope the circulation stay in her toes, thats the most important thing now. I worry about her now also because of the trauma she acts so different. Very angry can't settle down in the yard to potty, growling at every sound, inside and outside. My vet said she is a teenager and she will remember the trauma and she will react to it. Its very hard to see her like this. She is so worried when my 6 year old goes in the backyard, she just paces, three legged at the door. Thats what you see her doing in my photo of her. She wants to be out there to protect him, my brave little girl. After this vicious attack she would still be right there trying to protect her family. Brave little girl.........5 of them and one of her. I keep telling her let Momma handle it. I'll take care of those mean dogs, and I won't ever let them hurt anyone again. I just wish she understood me.

I will get justice for Bella.

I am so sorry about bella those pictures are just so painful to even look at. Poor baby. I hope she gets well soon. I would contact a lawyer and see what they say about the dogs and the attack. I am sure they will consult you for free. They can at least let you know how to go about getting her vet fees paid.

Wow, I'm so glad you got her to the hospital, I hope your poor baby isn't traumatized too badly. Poor little thing, you both went through so much, I can't believe you drove her there, I was so worried about you driving home. My prayers are with you and Bella.

Wow her wound WAS really bad.

I feel sooo bad for her but I'm SO glad that she didn't lose her little leg. PRAYING for a safe recovery!

OMG! your poor baby must be in so much pain. I just looked at the pics and couldn't believe my eyes. I hope you can do something with those neighbors and to secure your fence. It's very scarey for those other dogs to be that aggressive towards any other little dog. I hope you can get some restitution and some swift action in taking care of this. Prayers your way for a speedy recovery.

I saw the pictures. Bless her heart!! Hope she heals quickly & is feeling much better soon. I wanted to say, don't forget to take pictures of the 5 dogs in the neighbor's yard. She may move some or all of them which will be a blessing, but you'll need proof of what happened. Good Luck! Hoping for justice for Bella & a speedy recovery!

OMG!!! I just came across this bit of news! I am so sorry for you and your baby!! I hope she heals quickly. I actualy read thru all of the posts and I am amazed at your courage and fortitude! You should be proud of yourself for doing what you had to do. I pray that the owners of those mean dogs are punished properly!! I do have to say this...you need to make arrangements -in advance- for yourself in case of emergency!! From your description you really should not have driven as you could very well have injured yourself or someone else. I totally undersatnd why you had to (I would have done the same) but still... You really need to talk with your family, friends or even a neighbor who can help you in case of an emergency!

I am trying to find an attorney to talk to.....my Vet said said he's not sure with everything that Bella has been through if she will ever forget the trauma. Breeding her is definitely out for the next year and he not sure she would ever except a unknown male. After everything she has been through I don't think putting her in a breeding program would even be something I can consider now. So what are my losses now. My potential to breed her lost, a traumatically injured baby who will need extensive vet care for months. I am not sure how to begin to calculate my loss. I spoke with an attorney's office and that was the first thing they asked. I did find out that because the support beams are on their side of the fence, THEY are responsible for the fence. In neighborhoods like ours that is how it is determined. Now the problem is were I go from here.

I saw the picture of poor little Bella and my heart goes out to her and to you. She needs all the love and attention she can get so she will know she is loved. My little guy had the surgery on his knee 3 weeks ago and he had a cast on so I wouldn't see where they cut him but my heart was breaking. I held him constantly for 3 days so I can only imagine what you must be going through to see this terrible injury. Will pray for you both. Lorraine
