| Is sriracha an americanized sauce or a really, authentic thai(?) sauce???? Always wondered and someone once told me, oh its just an "americanized" product not really authentic... |

| I really don't know. It's made in the us but they serve it in every Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been in. I just love it-sooooooo hot-it makes your nose run. When ever anyone in our family has a cold we head to the restaurant for a sinus clearing

| they say it's "americanized" but the makers of the sauce are US immigrants. the sauce has not been around that long. Legend has it, one of my old HS friend's dad is friends with the owner of the company. Another legend, is that bf's xgf's friend's dad is the owner. Anyway.... love that sauce!

| no... fois gras is duck liver fat or something.... creton is pork butt, ground up and cooked for a long time in milk or water and there is onion and spices in it. I make it with Bells seasoning, cloves and allspice but some people make it with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. I personally like it more spicy than sweet though.

| what about bone marrow? I may have already asked this....my brain is old and feeble and I'm too lazy to look ![]() Anyway....it is DELICIOUS! Common way to serve it is from the oxtail or knuckle bones they sell for soup or dogs! They get over $20 a pop for these things in a restaurant! I've heard grown women will literally pick up the bones and suck/lick the marrow out with their tongue I guess it's on the erotic foods list??
