they say it's "americanized" but the makers of the sauce are US immigrants. the sauce has not been around that long. Legend has it, one of my old HS friend's dad is friends with the owner of the company. Another legend, is that bf's xgf's friend's dad is the owner. Anyway.... love that sauce!
