| A visit from beyond Have you ever experienced something that has made you stop and think, Maybe that was a loved one passed on? Like a strange happening that you can't explain. Last weekend my son and family came to visit and we were all sitting around talking, reminsing about my Dad who passed this last New Years Day. Anyways I have a fireplace that is electric and can only be turned on by a remote. The remote was sitting on top of the entertainment center,it turned on for about 5 seconds then went off. We all just gasp and looked at each other ,looking around. It was really a wierd feeling.I really feel it was my Dad letting us know he is still with us. I thought this would be a good thread for us to share our strange happenings. |

| I wasn't freaked at all, I actually felt a very strong sense of calmness. I have other things that have happened since losing my parents. One morning I was sitting on My patio having coffee, crying my eyes out over my Mom's recent passing. I said out loud I miss you Mom. Suddenly I felt someone blow on my neck really softly. I knew it was her. She died of lung cancer and I felt she was telling me that she could breath now. It is strange when something like this happens you know, you just know. |

| This brings back memories My mom passed away Aug of 1998, not at home but all her 6 yrs that she was ill she lived with me and my partner of 18 yrs. Well, first of all the first month she was done we felt her in the apt. that whole month, but not in a bad way at all. The fist Monday back to work we went grocery shopping and I bought some candles with the saints on the tall glass, I put one in my moms bedroom and one in the living room. It was kinda late so I didn't want lite them for just 1 hr. The next day driving home my hubby called me and asked it I had lit the candle in my moms room that morning or at night, I said "No, not at all. Why?" He said that when he got home, he went into my mom's room to open the curtains ( she had this big window next to her bed ) and when he turned around to leave the candle was lit. He thought maybe I felt it on from the night before or lit it that morning. I said "Look at the candle does it look like it's been on all day or night" he said "No, just lit"....I asked "Are u scared?"..he said "No, why..she left in peace with everyone" .......I felt good he wasn't scare. Hubby is a teacher in a private school, in Sept school started. He told the story to two different Nun's and both said the same thing in a very happy tone " Oh, good that was a sign she was ok and she made it into heaven". Oct., I called one of the caregivers that cared for my mom for the last 2 yrs during the day while we were at work, just to say Hi and see how she was doing . She and her husband did care very much for my mom and where effected deeply by her death. I told Angelina about the candle and she took a deep sigh, I said "What, what happen?" she said "That was a sign for me, we promised each other that the first one to die would send the other one a sign by lighting a candle to let the other one know there is a heaven" Now that gave us the creeps...LOL Sorry the story was so long.

| About a year after my grandfather died, my hubby and I were taking a trip by place and I was nervous about leaving my kids and feeling very melancholy. We had taken off a few minutes earlier and were climbing through the clouds as I was thinking how much I missed my grandfather. As I gazed into the clouds, I heard his voice as clear as a bell tell me "Baby, I'm right here. Don't worry, everything will be fine". I felt so much love in my heart at that moment and the rest of the trip was relaxing and wonderful!

Since our 26 year old son passed away last August we had something similiar happen. We have a fan in our living room that when the light switch is on can only be turned on and off only by remote. We hadn't been home no time when we would be watching tv and the light would come on and we keep the remote on the wall that's where it always is never anywhere else. My husband tried all the remotes in our house to see if one of they was also controlling the fan and none of them worked. Then he came up with the idea that someone in the neighborhood has a remote with the same frequency as ours. I told him that was impossible because these remotes don't work very far away and all of our neighbors are far enough away to where that would not work. We each have 1 acre lots. It still happens quite frequently, just yesterday the fan was going full force as I only run it on low and we never use the light on it. This happens too many times to count anymore. Now when it happens we just look at each other and one of us will get up and fix it.

| I love hearing all of your stories, and I love watching Ghost Whisperer because the stories are so heartwarming. So here's my story... My younger cousin was only 5 years old when her mother committed suice, with a butterknife. We were all very shocked and saddened because she had 2 old kids (teen and preteen). Years went by and we all moved on. My little cousin didn't find out till she was 16 that her mother committed suicide. They all told her she died from the cancer. She had so many different tumors and cancers at that time that it was unbelievable. Well they live in Australia. My cousin came down for a visit when she was 16, right after she had found out. We were sitting up and talking one night about everything, life, boys, school, and her mom. We had the light dimmed and were just talking quitely. I was asking her what she remembers about her mom. All of a sudden this big BRIGHT white light started shinning in the room and just moving around. I was freaked out but she was like that's her, that's my mom. She comes and visits me when I am in bed. To this day, I'm like did we make that up, did we dream that or was that real

| When I was 23 years old I was engaged to a young man that I had been dating for four years. Tragically, he was killed at work one day when his surveyors pole touched a high tension wire. He was electrocuted and died instantly. I was devastated and my whole world came crashing down around me. I never thought that I'd recover from it all. I was just a mess. On the last day of the wake, just before they closed the coffin, the family let me be the last to say my good-byes. I stood by the coffin and had this warm feeling wash over my body....from head to toe. Almost like a warm rain. I heard the words 'everything's gonna be alright' so clearly. I was shocked and amazed that I'd heard that...it was just so clear and like he spoke it right into my ear. I truly do believe in 'the afterlife' I also participated in a seance a year or two later where I was told, via the medium, some information from my fiance that absolutely no one would know. It was truly amazing It took me about 5 years to grieve him. I never thought I'd love again, but I moved away from my home town and ended up falling in love with the most wonderful, kind man. We have two kids and I'm so blessed to have been given two chances at love. . |

| My grandmother passed almost two years ago and she hides things from me!!! She was a handful while she was alive and loved to mess with us. My husband and I will search everywhere for something and then turn around and it will be right in front of our face. In the most obvious place. When it happens, this crazy feeling comes over me and I can almost hear her laughing. I just know it's her! I'm thankful to still have her around.
