| I don't talk about that part of my life much so it's strange now, 23 years later, how I still remember it - feel it - like it was yesterday. I was such a different girl then....a lifetime ago. I'm glad to share it with you all. |

| All of your stories are very touching and I believe all of them. One weekend my sister-in-law took and I took a ride to NC to visit my niece who was up for homecoming queen at her college. On the ride home we were listening to my son's music from his wedding the month before. It was an awsome band and we forgot about everything else getting lost in the wedding again. When we reached the Jersey turnpike her car started spitting and we pulled over and realized we never stopped for gas! We looked at each other in shock. What do we do now? I hung a red leg (from a pair of pants) out the window for help. No one stopped and of course a police car, after 1hr, never came in sight. It was starting to get dark. My sister in law stated that if her brother (my husband who passed away at 49) ever found out about this he would really call her stupid. He always teased her about being stupid. Of course she isn't, just a sister/brother thing. Well, anyhow, she said, John if you would just help me now I promise never to be stupid again. Oh my god, a few minutes later she turned the ingnition and the car started and we drove to the next exit paid a toll and the car died again. At least we were able to ask for help from the tool booth guy. I know this gave my husband a chuckle. We never told my brother in law, it has been our secret for the past 10yrs. Carol |

| I haven't actually had "family" visit, but we really believe our home is haunted. The house was built in 1917, and it is very old fashioned still to this day. Anyhow...A week or so ago, I was awakened by a lady talking in my bedroom. First thing I thought, someone is outside the window, but at 3am, nobody needs to be in my yard! Anyhow...I cuddled up to hubby, said please let me go to sleep...and I did. The next night, we all went to bed, around the same time, something said "mommy"...I jumped up, and immediatly looked around to see if was my girls...nope! I was scared out of my mind! I started having an anxiety attack...so I woke my hubby up. We went into the living room and he got me some water. By then I was doing ok, so I told him what happened. He asked me to describe it. It sound just like I recorded a child talking, and pushed replay and then stopped it when it was through...static and all. I was so freaked...it didn't feel evil...but something is definitely here. I talked with my mother, who inturn talked to her boss, a pastor and he told me to sleep with a Bible under my pillow...I have and I haven't felt funny, or heard strange things. We really don't feel like the spirits are evil...but with some of the things that go on...we have begun to really question things. I wish I knew how to look back into the history of this house...but I am afraid of what I may find. Yes...I DFEINITLY believe in the after life! And I will never say I don't!!!!!

| About 13 years ago the light used to go on and off in my flat of its own accord, If id turned it off before i went out id come back in and it would be on and vice versa, bearing in mind i am quite a baby (scared of the dark, scary movies etc) but this didnt frightened me at all as i was convinced it was my cousin who had died several years earlier from leukimea (bad spelling) i used to chat to his mum (my auntie) about it all the time and she loved hear how i felt it was him. I told her she must come up to my flat and see for herself but as i lived 2 flights up with no lift and she has angina she didnt feel she would make the stairs so always declined. One day after another chat about it still happening she agreed to come, the whole time she was there the light flicked on and off, on and off, for over half an hour. We were quite at peace during this time and not at all frightened. I eventually took her home and ever since that day in the 7 years after that i lived there the light never went on or off of its own accord again.

| My grandma had stuff like this happening to her all the time in our old house.. Over a fairly short period of time, one of my uncles killed himself, then my other uncle died of cancer, and then my great grandmother died of a heart attack shortly afterwards. Well, some time after my uncle killed himself, my grandma dreamed that a big, black, dirty figure came through her window. She said she didn't feel threatened by it, but it seemed to be in a lot of pain. She couldn't see his face. When she woke up, her white curtains had a huge black circular stain on them. She could not get it out, even with bleach and repeatedly washing and washing...she swears it was my uncle. After my other uncle died from cancer, the bedroom lamp in her room kept turning itself on at night. She felt this was my uncle doing it. One night, she dreamt about her mother. In her dream, somebody had died. She asked her mom "mom, who died?" " she replied 'you're going to be ok, it's going to be ok.'" and she asked her if she was leaving her, to which her mom replied yes. She was woken up by the phone ringing to tell her that my great grandmother had had a heart attack. I very much believe in this stuff, as well as all forms of the supernatural and the hereafter. I have always had deja vu since I was little..and not just little things, I mean WHOLE experiences. Random ones too, that make you go 'what the heck?'. Like for instance I dreamt that I was standing in the lobby of the movie theater with my friend, looking through my purse for my movie ticket. I found it in my pocket. Random huh? Well not a week later, there I was...in the middle of the movie theater, looking through my ticket with that same friend. I just stopped and was like "I've already done this.." So I felt in my pocket and there it was. |

| My husband and I just got back from an overnight trip to Gettysburg, PA. My lst visit, his 2nd. We were touring the Jenny Wade house ( the only civilian to die during the battle of Gettysburg ) with 3 other ladies who have been to Gettysburg many times. Anyway, they told us the last time they toured the house and took pictures, when they got the pictures developed there were actual images of spirits ( or whatever they call them ) in the pictures. They told us The Jenny Wade House in Gettysburg has been on the Discover Channel because it's known for it's hauntings. I too believe that our loved ones that have passed on are watching over us and in their own way they communicate with us. Someone else mentioned the tv show The Ghost Whisiper. I love that show, especially the episode about the little boy who was killed on the railroad tracts and never left that spot because he said his mom told him, if he ever was lost to stay where he was and she would always come and get him. There's a new show on Lifetime tv called Lisa Williams. It's on Monday nights at 8 o'clock EST. She's someone who can communicate with those who have passed on. The show is about her doing readings for people who want to communicate with or find out how their loved ones that have passed on are doing. She also came to a hotel that the owners thought was haunted and told them what spirits were haunting their hotel and why. Well, Thanks for listening everyone and I enjoyed reading what everyone else had to say. Rudys Mom (Dawn) |

| This Happen When I went back home this summer to see my family.. well I never meet my dads mom or anything but always wondered what she was like.. well I went to walmart to gets some flowers to put on her grave and my grate aunts who died and was barred the day before.. I was on my way to the grave yard and my cell rang.. I missed that call, it was unavailable.. so I could not call it back. THEN when I was already at the gravy yard, driving to her grave which was a little ways from the gate it rang again and it said unavailable, AGAIN.. (Keep in mind before the cell rang I was thinking of my grandma rosa) I was like hmmm.. knowing it was my mom cell I picked it up thinking it was my husband calling from Germany (I left out early to spend more time with my parents and the cell some times showed up unavailable when he called my moms cell) or some one she knew (she tag me with her cell as soon as I got off the plane lol) WELL I picked it up and said Hello.... And all i heard was static...and then it stoped... usually when something like this happens I FREK, but I was calm and I was like thats odd... So I called my hubby and asked if he called.. he said no he was sleeping.. Then I got to thinking of white nose and I was like.. maybe it was grandma rosa calling me, telling me she knows I think of her. I put the flowers on her grave and my grate aunts and went home and was messing with my moms phone, for some reason.. and GUESS WHAT!! My phone recorded it!! I WAS LIKE WTH!! Now I know I am not CRAZY!!! I told my dad and mom what happen and let them listen to what the cell recorded.. which was a LOUD and Soft static and pops, as if some one was talking, kind of..My dadvsmiled and said maybe it was her telling you she and her sister is ok... I was like maybe.. Last edited by OLIVIA_KARHIS; 11-07-2006 at 01:10 PM. |

| I get those deja vu moments all the time. It's freaky. We rented a house once and I would hear children laughing all the time. I would go check on the girls and they'd be napping or something, so it wasn't them. One of the times, I turned to look, thinking the girls had gotten up and swore I saw a little boy run by. Just caught him out of the corner of my eye. Creepy.
