| Linz - I love that Tina Fey hairstyle! And your engagement photos are adorable! Baby_Teddy - I'm not planning on wearing a veil. The back of my dress is so pretty, and I want it to be unobstructed. I have my hair trial today and I am still not certain what I am doing! Like you all were saying, I want to look like me, but I want to look special. I also have hair that is only shoulder length, so a complete updo is pretty much out of the question. On the other hand, I have been to weddings where the bride wore her hair down and curled, and it just looked ratty by the time we got to the reception hall. Maybe I could do a low bun at the back or something. I dunno. Tomorrow is my bridal luncheon. I'm still trying to decide what I am wearing! I went on a shopping spree to Macy's and Dress Barn last week, and I bought 3 different possibilities. The first is a long tunic like the one below (couldn't find a picture of the exact tunic), that I would wear with black leggings. The second is a flowery dress. The third is a flowy top that I would wear with black jeans. Opinions?

| Sorry I have not been on!!! My wedding is 11 days away!!! My hall ticked me off soooooo badly today. Its been a mess with them since the booking! NO Communication at all. No help with anything. They are a 4 star Inn & Resort, they are voted #1 in NH wedding venues. Yet my experience has been crappy from day 1. Now the event coordinator left there yesterday. I have a new contact who has not contacted me for head counts, meal counts, dietary needs, day of schedule, rehearsal, final payments, no explanation for a $375 charge we see on our CC that we didn't expect. Its a mess, and I'm a mess! I paid for THE BEST, and I want THE BEST. I shouldn't be FREAKING out 11 days before the wedding, begging my HALL to meet with me to ease my mind! What a mess!!!! I'll keep you all posted, I really hope they straighten up their act! I know I am not having a summertime, 500 person wedding, but they are still getting about $8500 of OUR money and whatever money our guests spend either staying in a room or drinks or food in the restaurant/tavern/wine bar or gift shop on site. Its disgusting!

| Oh that would be so frustrating! You should really talk to the manager and let them know that you are ready to write a review online to let other brides know what kind of troubles you've had dealing with them. That should make them want to make things better before you resort to writing a review.. We met with our pastor yesterday about our wedding ceremony. He gave us our options, and now we have to decide if we want to go with the new version of things or the old version of things. I love the old language in the old version, but that is the version where I would have to promise to "obey". Also, when the pastor asks who gives me away, my dad would say "I do". In the newer version, I would not have to "obey" and my parents would both say "we do" Now I thnk I'm leaning towards the newer version! Thinking about all this stuff makes it seem SO REAL now!

| Oh yeah Linz!!! Thats a little bit of a reality check huh? We are having a JP and not a religious ceremony so we wrote our own ceremony. That helped us I think!

| I had my bridal luncheon/mini shower this past Sunday. My mom did an awesome job planning everything, and it was a really great afternoon with a few friends and some family. I actually wound up wearing the black tunic with capri leggings and black heels. It looked really cute. Some people were wearing blue jeans, so I guess I shouldn't have worried too much about dress. Probably the best part was my mom getting up and reading a poem she wrote about me. It was so sweet. She cried while she read it, but she always cries at these things. She cries at every mushy birthday card we give her! I just thought it was an extra special touch to the day. Having the bridal shower made things seem so real all of a sudden. I'm starting to feel quite nervous. I'm also eating like a pig. Instead of watching what I am eating to make sure I will fit into my dress, I am eating everything in sight because I am feeling stressed. Ugh. 29 days to go!

| Oohhh That sounds so sweet! Your mom is a real kind wonderful person! My mom finally told my family that she needs to be with me as we finish the wedding planning. After my grandmother passed away on feb 20, she was catering to her father (my grandfather) for 3 weeks and it was stressing her out after awhile. And she wanted to be here involved in the wedding planning but it was not working out that way. She finally told my grandfather that she has to be with her daughter to do wedding planning and wedding related stuff. Tomorrow is the bachelorette party! We met with our new hall wedding coordinator and she was wonderful! She put my mind at ease, she had all the arrangements down by the time we left yesterday and even was able to do things we were originally told NO. After we met with her I told her we were going to go to the wine bar for a glass of wine and show it to my mom (who was with us) and she came up and comp'ed our drinks! Normally I would be eating terribly too! But Ive been sick twice in 1 month and my grandmother passed away, Ive lost 10lbs since Feb 1 and now I can't lose anymore. With only 8 days to the wedding, there is no more time to alter the gown and it's already borderline loose.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, but it's good that your mom is going to be with you to help out. I know my mom has been a tremendous help, and I don't know what I would do without her. Yesterday my coworkers completely surprised me with a bridal shower luncheon! We had a faculty meeting scheduled, and on the agenda it said we were doing CORE Math work in the afternoon. I was so shocked when I walked into the library and there were all these people yelling, "SURPRISE!". I was so overwhelmed that I cried. But, it was just wonderful. And now the pile of stuff in the living room that we need to find a home for has grown even more. I'm not having a bachelorette party. I'm not a drinker, and I don't like to stay out late. (Yes, I am an old fogey sometimes). I hope you have a blast at yours!

My bachelorette party was not an average one... we did it at one of my bridesmaids houses. We had a spa evening. It was sooo nice and super fun! My mom made all these all natural homemade spa recipes, an exfoliating scrub with almonds and mayonnaise, then a mask with avocados & egg yolk for dry skin and egg white for oily skin. Then a chocolate mask with oatmeal, honey, coco powder (it tasted delicious!!) and a strawberry hand & foot salt scrub with fresh strawberries, olive oil and sea salt. It smelled wonderful! That one we didn't eat bc well... salt... and strawberries, didn't sound appetizing, but everything else we could eat it or we could use it on our skin (or both!)! We played some silly games, we sang really bad Wii karaoke with games we had, we did have drinks, they were all green drinks, like key lime pie martinis (delicious!!), appletinis and mojitos. Since it was St. Pattys Day, we also did a boiled dinner of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes & carrots, we had other foods that were all green too, like an all green veggie tray with dip, and deviled eggs that we dyed green on the inside. We made spa baskets for everyone with faceclothes and towels, soaps, lotions, exfoliating gloves, mani/pedi tools, green wash basins, cups & fun twisty straws, candles, turbi twist hair towels and green nail polish. Everyone got to take home their goodie baskets! They also hired a massage therapist to come in and for $40 you could get a 1/2 hour massage. aaaahhhhhh It was soooo nice! Now the countdown is really really on, 5 days until the wedding!!!! It was a GREAT night! We had so much fun!

| It is so close!!! You must be getting nervous! I don't feel like my wedding will ever be just 5 days away lol! Your bachelorette party sounds like a lot of fun!!! I finished all of my invitations on the weekend. It took me about 5 hours over 2 days to put together 82 invitations We used invitation kits from Michaels, but we added some ribbon and stuff to make it a little different. 5 hours of ribbon and glue, ribbon and glue, ribbon and glue... I hope I never put together invitations like that for the rest of my life lol! We also ordered Scott's wedding band And we went to Sears to add more things to our wedding registry. It took us about 4 hours It's not that we're picky but there's just so much to look at lol!

| Oh my gosh Linz! I hear ya on the invitations! We made 55 of them, but we made them from scratch! It was sooooooo much work, hours & hours, of cutting, printing, mounting and tying ribbon! UGH! In the end, we forgot to put return addresses on the envelopes! DUH!!! LOL Its ok though, they all made it to where they were supposed to! Getting the rings ordered is so exciting huh? It makes it almost real!
