I went for my hair trial today. I wanted the updo that Tina Fey had at the Oscars. I love that classic style! But after trying twice, I finally pulled out my phone and googled it, and it turns out she had tons of extensions. My hair is long and thick, but it's just not enough for that without extensions. So she tried to do something else, and it was kind of curly and low and pinned pretty flat to my head. I thought it looked okay, but when I left I thought maybe I don't like it at all... I took some pictures and sent to a couple of friends and they didn't like it, and I met up with Scott later and nope, he didn't like it either. He thought it looked weird. An hour later, my head was throbbing from the bobby pins, and I took it all out. I rarely wear my hair up, so maybe it's best to just leave it down that day too!

| I had 3 hair trial runs... the first one was looking really really good. I saw a pic in a book of what I wanted, the girl, who is a friend of mine and a hairdresser was doing my hair. She did it awesome.... then we did a trial run at her house that she couldn't do it again. Another time we did a FULL trial run and it came out GREAT, all she needed was some balm to hold down the frizzies. The day of my wedding, she did my hair, got the balm it all worked great, until she ended up putting the curls that I wanted down, up! then she curled the back too tight and said they would fall pretty by the ceremony, but they never did. So my hair ended up being NOTHING like I wanted it. The style I wanted was soft, pretty with longer looser curls down the back and twists on the top & sides to hold it back.... Oh well...

| Lindz! Go with your instinct on your hair...you don't want to look back and wish you had done something else. If you wear your hair down alot, maybe you should wear your hair down or half up on your wedding day too? If you aren't 100% happy with the updo you don't want to look back at your pictures and feel like you don't look like yourself or aren't happy with your hair. Do whatever you LOVE and whatever is going to make you happy. I wear my hair down always (except for the gym). I had my trial and the girl did loose waves with a half up hair style. I did not like it. I felt like it was tooo bride-ish. So now I think I am wearing my hair completely down in curls. Ill pull just a little bit of hair back for my veil.

| Hair is a tough one. I know that leaving it down with loose waves or curls is very "in" right now, but I have been to a few weddings where the brides pretty waves or curls had "fallen out" by the time we got to the reception! I went back and forth, but ultimately decided that I wanted my hair up for the big day. My hair is EXTREMELY frizzy, and I was scared that even the slightest bit of humidity or rain on that day would have made my head look like a poodle. At my trial run I really liked the way it came out. On my wedding day I hated it. I cried and I really upset my hairdresser. I wondered if I should have left it down. Eventually I got over it when every single person commented on how wonderful my hair looked that day.

| As long as pictures are done, I don't really care how my hair looks for the rest of the night lol Three and a half weeks to go!!! I can't wait for it to be over lol! On the weekend, we went to a friend's wedding. There was one thing I didn't like, which also happened at her sister's wedding last year. They did their prayers, vows, exchanged rings, and then they went up to sign the registry, and everything else was done. It was the end of the ceremony and they all posed on the steps for pictures, and THAT's when the pastor pronounced them husband and wife said they could kiss!! He was standing off to the side of the church and everyone was snapping pictures of the bridal party. It just felt like something was missing after the vows and rings. I should talk to my pastor about how it will be done at ours. I just have never seen it like this before except these two services with these sisters. Anyways, I also got a really great idea from her, that I already let her know I am stealing lol! Instead of clinking glasses or playing some other embarassing game with the guests, they decided to set up a donation box for the local SPCA. When someone came up and donated, they'd kiss. Our table pooled together $35 and there were quite a few other big donations. It ended up being the bigger donation, the bigger the kiss! So I contacted the rescue we got Kash and Lucy from in December, and let them know we would like to do the same thing for them! They are thrilled and will be getting a donation box for us I hope our family and friends are generous! My future mother in law surprised me this weekend too. We were staying at their house, and the first night I went downstairs to bed and found a gift and card on my pillow. I opened the card and there was a note inside about how she is so proud to have me as her daughter to be, and she hopes I will wear what's in the box on my wedding day and know it was made with love. In the box was a little anklet on a silver chain, and a little stone in a setting attached. She said she got that stone years ago on a cruise, and she decided to have it set and put on a chain and made into an anklet. The next morning I thanked her and she was like "Oh you don't have to wear it for the wedding if you don't want to, I just wanted to do a little something" I was like "No I will definitely wear it!!!" It was very nice of her to do for me!!

| Oh my... how sweet of your future MIL! You need to post a pic of your anklet! Sounds beautiful! I love the donation idea, thats really great! My cousin, at her wedding last Sept, she made an announcement that in lieu of favors, they made a donation in every guests name to the local SPCA. That was really sweet too.

So the bridal dress store has made more mistakes!!! I can't believe they can screw up so many dresses for one wedding! To recap: My dress came in a month late, one bridesmaid dress was not even ordered. It was finally ordered just before the first one came in, so the second was well over a month late. Both came with the wrong color belts and I had issues getting them to change them free of charge to the right color. Then I ordered flower girl dresses. The week after ordering them I got a phone call saying actually, those dresses are discontinued, so can I find another kind?? I found a second flower girl dress I loved more than the first. They ordered two, for my two flower girls. They came in last week. My girls are sisters, a year apart. One is 8, one is 7. They are normal size, but the dress sizes run small. Anyways, the sizes that came in were 12 and 6 I had the girls try them on this weekend. The 12 fit the 8 year old perfectly! The 6 would not even zip up!!! SO I took the dress and the girl back on Monday and they measured and figured there was a 3-inch gap at the top of the zipper, and ended up having to order a 10 instead! That was ordered yesterday, and the wedding is in 2 and a half weeks. I am just going to sit back and coast through this and hope the bridal store is stressing out about it more than I am lol! I go for my second hair trial this weekend. I am going to try mostly down, with a bit in the front pulled back. Hopefully I can work on my veil this week and take it with me! I am soooooooooo ready to be done! In 3 more weeks I'll be sitting in Italy with my HUSBAND without a care in the world!!!

| yay! Your wedding day will be awesome girl! so 2.5 weeks from today you'll be a beautiful bride on her wedding day! Everything you went through will just melt away in your head. I can't even hardly remember all the pain I went through before the wedding! lol I miss our wedding though! I have post wedding blues! lol Our DJ made us a CD of all our wedding song special picks (not the reception music or anything) and yesterday I popped that on in the car when my husband & I were going somewhere and we just held hands and talked about 'oh remember that.... ' lol it was good bc we've been struggling with so much lately it was nice to remember and hear all the songs that we picked to represent our special day!

All the girls at work are telling me I'll have the post wedding blues! But I feel like I will just be so happy to have free time again lol! I am glad the wedding is still early in summer so I can feel like I can enjoy the rest of it! I am trying so hard not to get tan lines that will show in my strapless dress lol!

| I had the post-wedding blues also. It's been two months and I think I am finally getting over it now that we're heading toward the whole trying for a baby thing. I've been going back and forth for the past few weeks with the videographer over the absolutely s**tty job he did of filming our wedding. I actually have cried every time we have watched it...because it's so bad. He didn't get DH's parents or my mom walking down the aisle. He filmed my dad and I from THE BACK as we walked down the aisle of the church! There is no footage at all of us from the front! He spent 5 minutes filming the church organist instead of us on the altar. He missed my husband's lovely thank you speech at the reception, and filmed more of the ceiling and wall than anything else while we were dancing. His first edit really sucked, so we made him redo it. Sadly, the second version wasn't much better. I get a sick stomach every time I think about it. I can't believe that this is all I will have to look back on our wedding day. And to top it all off, the videographer blamed US for his poor filming...because we didn't want to pay for TWO cameramen! The whole thing has been very upsetting. On the bright side, we made our Shutterfly album and we just love it. It was actually pretty fun to put together once the photographer sent us our pictures. We also received the prints that came with our package yesterday, and those came out really nice! I can't wait to get some frames and start putting those pics around the house! All I can say is ENJOY YOUR DAY! Try to relish every moment, because it goes by in the blink of an eye!

| Lindz you must be so excited!! I wish you all the best on your wedding day Matt & I had our engagement shoot yesterday...it was about 100 degrees in New York and I literally felt as though I was melting! We ended up doing the shoot around Lincoln Center and we had a lot of fun with it! The photographer said she would have the photos to us in about 4 weeks. Very excited to see how they turned out! We also took a few with the pups!

| Please post some pictures when you get them!! I'd love to see!! One more week for me!!!!!!! We are getting through our to-do list quite quickly now! I got my hair done last weekend again and I loved it! It's down and curly and pinned back on top with a deep side part in the front. It is so much more ME! Scott was away at his bachelor party so I pinned it all up myself before he got home so he has no idea what it will actually look like that day.
