| ![]() We had our Black Eyed Peas and greens, cornbread and chicken fried chicken...all from the Black Eyed Pea Restaurant!! It was YUMMY!!! They have those good yeast rolls with honey and butter. OMG, my mouth is watering again!! They have good fried okra too. I love southern cooking!! Dessert...fresh blackberry cobbler. We had to be rolled out of there!! ![]() We usually mix the black eye peas with white rice and it is called Hoppin' John...who knows where that name came from! LOL!! |

| ![]() Cindy, I had the neighborhood New Years Day party yesterday. Our neighbors from Texas/N Carolina brought Blackeyed Peas & Ham Hocks, greens, cornbread and...wait for it.....wait.....real southern Sweet Tea (DH's favorite). It was grand.
