| Did Anyone See The show on TLC lastnight, I can make you Thin? I think it's a 5 week show..anyway, this is how he says to lose weight..the first 4 were 1) eat when you're hungry 2) eat what you want 3) eat consiously 4) quit when you're full Now, on number 3, what he wants you to do, is take a bit of food, put your fork down and chew that food 20 times. This one lady has lost I think over 160 pounds by doing this.. here's the site, it will give you the first 4 and explain them. I'm trying it.. http://www.mckenna.com/default.aspx?pid=9 |

| Well, so far today, I haven't been hungry yet, so, haven't eaten anything..he didn't say anything about having to eat breakfast like everyone says to do, which is good, as I very seldom eat breakfast |

| I was taught when i worked at slender U, that if you're hungry, drink a big glass of water, then wait 10 minutes, if you're still hungry, you need to eat, if not, then the wanting food was just a habit...I'm trying it right now, got a little hungry, so, got me a small bowl of corn flakes, I'm putting the spoon down instead of shoveling it in.. One of the ladies in another forum said, it takes 20 minutes for your body to tell your brain you're full, so, if you eat a salad 20 minutes before dinner, you probably won't even eat dinner as you'll be full... |

He mentioned the water on the show last night. He said most of the time when we think we are hungry we are really just thirsty and to do what you said - drink water then wait and see if we are still hungry.

It takes 20 minutes after you've started eating for your brain to realize it's full, that's why some people eat and then feel miserable (stuffed) a few minutes later...you did give me a good laugh.... | |
