BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Tell me... What was the last nice thing you did for a complete stranger? whether it's holding a door for a elderly person, sparing some change for a child who just had to have that gum at the grocery store, or just making someone laugh! To many times everyone is in such a hurry to go nowhere and we forget about the little things that matter. This week I ask that you take a few minutes out of your day to do something for someone else. Then come back to this thread and share it with all of us. |

| The last nice thing we did wasn't much. Our neighbors down the hall just had a baby last December and the dad works with my dad but he was laid off. We had a Wal-Mart bag full of extra size one diapers we had from our son and hubby took them to them. He said they were very grateful and it would help out bunches. I felt great knowing I was helping someone out.

| I have done a few things here and there but I have had some REALLY REALLY nice german's help me on and off the plane each time I have gone to see my parents... when it was just me and my son. I even had a guy help me carry his car seat (you know the one you can take with you out of the car) so we could get are passport stamped. Pedro was in the car seat and me being 5'2.. its hard caring those things AND everything else. These really nice man pick up one side of the handle and said "let me help you, so he dose not rock so much" I was like thank you soo much. and the whole way we walked to the passport area, he was talking to Pete. I was socked ANY one helped me. bc back home (Texas) NO ONE dose not any more... I can remember when my car got a flat (and I was 16) and NO ONE help me or pulled over. I had to call my brother and his friend to fix it. and it took 30 to 40 min for him to get there and NOT one person puller over or anything... You are right ,so many people are in hurry to go nowhere and we forget about the little things that matter. |

| This morning I went to the dry cleaner and then stopped in Starbucks to get a coffee. There was a young guy going in ahead of me, all dressed up in a nice suit and carrying his baby in an infant seat. He seemed rushed and harried. I thought he was probably dropping his baby off at day care on his way to the office. He seemed to have one big frown on his face. I looked at the baby and she was gorgeous; big grey eyes and pink, pink cheeks. I made sure to tell him so. I told him how beautiful his baby is. He said thanks, but still seemed to be frazzled. I started talking about how unusually beautiful her eyes were, and how I never saw a baby so young with such grey eyes and such gorgeous pink cheeks. I could see he softened at that and before long he seemed to relax more and started to regal me with the wonders of parenthood and his precious infant. I felt good afterward and I think he did too!!

| Weekend before last I was with my friend out of town and she had to run into a store. She took her 4 year old in with her but the 2 year old was sleeping so I stayed with her. I got out of the car to stretch my legs and saw these two couples talking. Then they went to separate vehicles after getting some stuff out of one of the trunks. As one couple was getting settled in their vehicle I saw a jacket laying on the ground behind it. I hollered to the guy that the jacket was on the ground and asked if it was theirs. Turns out it had fallen out of the trunk with other stuff they were getting out. Then I ran over there, picked it up and took it to the window just as he was struggling to get out of the car. He was so grateful that I had seen it before he had run over it. THEN when my friend got back to the car she told me how her and her daughter had stopped in a coffee place after their other errand and some nice lady in front of them in line had paid for a milk that her daughter was holding. Didn't even tell her she was doing it so my friend didn't get to thank her. I thought that was weird that I had done a good deed while someone was doing her one. I try to do things like that for people because I surely need some good karma! What goes around comes around!

| I have a random act of kindness that I do every time I go to the San Francisco bay area. On my way back to Sacramento, there is a toll bridge that costs $3. For the past ten years, as a habit, I always pay for myself and the person behind me. And I speed off after I do it so that the person behind me knows it was a random act and it doesnt require any thanks. I just hope it made them smile and they may do the same for someone else one day |

| Will I lose all my "ataboys" if I tell....hmmm, the girl at our local bank was extra helpful and had a smile on her face as she helped me. She didn't know me from Adam. I called her boss and told her, she sent me some paperwork to fill out, (which I did) so she could be recognized for her act of kindness. She'll never know it was me. I loved doing this.

YT 2000 Club Member | Our neighbor next door's son died last year, he was 35 and had Downs Syndrome. He was alway's nice to my boy's giving them candy or Little Debbies snacks. He would even shovel our drive way before we got out to do it our selves. His mother misses him so so much. He was a very special person, always kind to every one. She is alone in her house now and she gets so lonely without her son now. My boy's started to do yard work when she is not home to surprize her or they will go over and sit outside in her garden or on the porch and talk with her. We make sure that we shovel her driveway and side walk for her this winter and sometimes she will make a treat for use to thank us. Also my son Kennedy will go over and talk with her if he sees that she is having a hard day, she tells me all the time how special it makes her feel that they care so much for her. Also we give every year to the Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital, The Ronald McDonalds house of Cleveland, and also the Immune Deficiency Foundation. We do not claim it on our taxes each year, it defeats the purpose of us giving money! I had 3 of my 4 boy's spend time at Rainbows and we stayed at the Ronald MCDonalds house while the boy's were in the Hospital, and our one son, Kennedy has a primary Immune Defect so we want to help them out as much as they have helped us. Sometimes when we are up in Cleveland for a check up we will go to the Ronald McDonalds house and just pay for a family's stay for a few nights or however much we can give them at a time.

| I sent my son over to a neighbor's house with a bag of food for her dogs. She just changed jobs and is newly divorced and I know she's having a hard time right now. I had an extra bag of Canadae and I told my son to go over and ask if she could use it. She was thrilled.
